The only argument against a LB going to Alabama is "depth chart." But they don't seem to rectuit a lot of kids who lack confidence...

Yeah but Ragland, Lee, and Devall will be moving on so that may help a little. I also like Davis better than L. Wilson as far as in-state LBs go. Also, I think Anderson will find more time on the DL and not at ILB next season. Davis could actually see a little time on the field next year if some of the others in front of him aren't developing.

Davis is thinking about visiting with no game...what big time prospect does that if they don't have legitimate interest in the school itself? I don't think he wants to do a visit to nd just to look at snow.

I believe Rochelle had the brother for air force.

Whether you agree with his conclusion or not, I think Bery's thinking is pretty clear:

- It's one thing to take lots of early random visits...
- It's one thing to want to go to big game at a cool school for fun...
- its one thing to visit a family member...
- Its one thing to be mildly interested in a bunch of programs...

But actions speak louder than words, and it does seem somewhat rare for a highly-rated player that everyone expects to stay in the South to fly across the country to a cold-weather school, on a non-game weekend, this late in the process.

Maybe I worded my post entirely wrong. I think this kid probably does have a legit level of interest. But that doesn't mean he is coming here.

So I agree with Bery that this kid is interested at some level. But I don't see how Jerry and this kid are connected.

I thought so as well. I agree he's not coming here but clearly Denson is making a really good impression on the trail.

I can't disagree with you but just the fact that Denson got a Bama legacy from Alabama to take an OV to South Bend in the midst of winter is pretty damn impressive. I figured Denson would do well but he is even surpassing my expectations this early in his tenure here.

Agreed. If this kid wasn't a legacy I would not be saying we are a hat on the table. There is no way this kid doesn't go to Bama, this ND (and every other team) is just a hat on the table.

Kid put Georgia #1 over Bama. Wow.

Seems to really enjoy Denson who is very persistent much like Tony was given credit for. I think Denson is just a very honest and caring individual who can relate well to kids. Very pleasantly surprised with his success so far, especially early on.

I think we should step back and consider the possibility that ND is only there to show he "cares about acamademics". Seriously, he wants to play SEC football given the distribution of hats.

We're an ornament in this one. Best of luck to him, he looks like he'll be a good one for the Tide.
