This dude has sealed two of the last three wins with HUGE interceptions. He started off a bit rusty, but has recovered since then and has had a damn good year

I think he's the embodiment of the defense as a whole. Very inconsistent, some great plays, some abysmal plays, mostly just above average.

Yes, KVR has had some big plays and some very bad plays. Unfortunately CB is a position where inconsistency leads to TDs. In addition to giving up big plays KVR has shown poor leadership, admitting himself to not being committed enough to practice, and most troubling after these comments still had incidents like pointing at Max rather than hustlin until this whistle blows. I don't think many of us expected lack of effort or leadership problems after the glowing reports of how hard he worked during his time in exile. Hence why his season has been disappointing to me.

Agree on Luke. He's quietly playing very well. Amazing how much - at least according to the broadcast crew - opposing teams are throwing at KVR instead of Luke. Telling, too.

It's the truth. Honestly PI see what 2 or 3 throws go Luke's way. Teams are targeting KVR and he needs to get his head out of his you know what.

i believe so since he would be considered a senior but did not use a year of eligibility. You have five to play four

Good points all.

But with KVR it isn't about technical or physical consistency; it is about mental consistency. And that is the disease the defense has. And why one minute it looks tough and the next it doesn't.

Please note : nine guys can be playing hard nosed, assignment correct football every play, and if at any time one or both of the remaining two takes a siesta, the whole defense looks bad.

And of course sometimes it is an entirely different player that looks stupid or beat than the one that played a mental mañana.

Draft scout currently has him as the 69th ranked player which is 2-3 rounder.

He won't go that high after this year. He'll probably put up good combine numbers but his tape is pretty bad.

I think he should come back, though I dont think he will. He's still raw as a CB, this is only his 3rd year at the position after he missed all of last year.

I think he should come back myself, but as far as I can tell that is a current evaluation. That might be good enough for him to decide to leave.

It's funny. I think most would agree that Fuller should be the one to go and Russell the one to stay, yet there is a good chance it will be reversed. I think KVR would be better suited with another year to either: A) improve his current skill set or B) show off a new skill set (safety), which is likely where he'll wind up in the NFL anyway.

ISD said he could but doubt he does. The hype coming in may be too much to for humbleness to overcome.

Probably back for the post-season, but definitely out for Stanford.

How Kelly has managed this team to 10-1 despite all this crap is astounding.

What is time frame in stress fractures?

He won't play next week. I had a small stress fracture this summer and it took at least a week before I could walk without a limp.

I would say there's a chance we could have him back in time for our bowl game, but there's no way he'll play against Stanford. Sucks.

Damn. You know Devon Butler will get picked on. Hopefully he can step up.

He has another year of eligibility but it would depend on him getting accepted for grad school, which, given his academic history, may be an obstacle.

Thanks man. He seems to be a bright and thoughtful kid outside his mistake. Wonder how his grades are sans the expulsion.

No clue, but obviously hope he comes back. IMO he doesn't though. I think this return was more of a redemption year for him to prove to ND and NFL scouts he is capable and with his attitude, he thinks he is ready. However, with this injury (no Idea yet how bad it is) and his poor year it would only make sense to come back if he is eligible.

Read above he has a stress fracture and won't play next week bowl/playoff possible.

He didn't show ND or NFL much, IMO.

Thanks. Was just reading the past few comments, didn't know if the stress fracture was fact or a rumor.

I'm guessing nick Watkins plays before Butler. At least I hope so.

I don't think Nick Watkins has played virtually at all this year. He's likely a bust, or he would've gotten more reps to this point.
