Pitt really needs a smaller on campus stadium. Every time I watch the a Pitt home game that isn't ND it looks half full.

Agreed. Anyone remember the old Pitt Stadium? It was a dump but still preferable to this.

Is this Pitt's usual QB? He looks terrible. I don't think I've seen an accurate throw yet.

After watching Temple last Thursday and Pitt this week, If ND comes out focused they should win each game by 21.

why do homers do this? It's so distasteful.. It's like saying I'm going out to buy milk, bread, and baby food and all you come home with is a hangover..

Fedora probably saved his job thanks to the Chizik hire.

It's not being a homer its from watching these two teams play. Sorry, just because they are rated doesn't make them great teams. I haven't been impressed with either one. If ND comes out focused and plays up to their capabilities I don't see them losing. Never said ND can sleep walk through these two games but if they play well I don't see them being close.

Yeah, he is a transfer from Tennesse, wasn't very good when he was there. The OC at Pitt was also at Tennessee and has a fondness for him. I think their back-up is more dangerous as he's a dual threat type.

If Pitt's QB beats us, BVG and Kelly should just turn in their clipboards and walk home.

Anyone else have a sinking feeling about this one after last night? Hey, at least Game Day won't be there

No Shumate in the firs half will be a huge problem. I remember what happened a couple of years ago when the game turned once Tuitt was ejected for a ridiculous targeting penalty,

I have zero concern about this one. Boyd will be shut down and their QB is the worst one on our schedule by far. There is no way this kid has what it takes to win this type of game.

They will play well against us and will have to bite and claw to hold on.

Hopefully we do

I always am anxious no matter who the opponent is. I think this could be a similar game to the one last night, but if ND converts in the red zone with just a td and a fg instead of two int's, then I think they win by two touchdowns or even 17. Kizer has to protect the football better down there, but overall he has done an excellent job through his 6 games as a starter. He adapts very well to the opponents game plan. I mean think about how Temple completely shut down CJ. A fr QB starting his 6th game put the team on his shoulders and got the W. Each game I see him play gives me even more confidence in him.

Pitt doesn't have a third of the athletes as Temple.

Are you serious? Have you watched us play in the last decade? Making scrub, 3rd tier QBs look like Hall of Famers is what we do. This Pitt QB is going to have the game of his life. Remember the Virgina QB? Of course you don't because he's garbage but he still almost beat us.

I can agree with that, but they are a competitive bunch and have had a really good season thus far. I'm only certain of one thing in this game. They will be inspired. Whether or not that translates to a close win or a blowout for us remains to be seen. I have just watched too many ND games to know better than to count anybody out before kickoff.

I'm well aware of the history, icky. I simply don't think Pitt's QB is capable, on any level.

Difference is they will have an entire week to prepare for that.

Also, not worried about the game. Shake off the rust, get back into the flow, and get after it. This will be much more comfortable then yesterday.

Our secondary has been a disaster all season... With Elijah out the first half.. If they can't find a way to get Farley and Redfield ready to be the starting safeties... It is going to be an air show for Pitt

Im not worried, but see it playing out very similar to Temple. These are the type of teams that give ND fits. Scrappy, tough, under-appreciated kids playing the perceived "glamor boys" from ND. I feel like these games always resemble a fight in a phone booth.

This.

If the kids just execute better and get points when they are in the red zone, rather than turnovers, I feel very confident in a two score victory. If not we will be sweating bullets till the end.

I hear you. Games after bye weeks can be dangerous so I tend to look at them with a grain of salt. Hopefully, the rust is shaken.
