Yep, it was basically a waste of time. I highly doubt any scouts are going to take those times and draft accordingly.

I can make it from my couch to my fridge in 4.1 seconds when my beer is empty. Granted that is a hand start by my wife with an electronic finish, but I bet that's pretty darn good.

I really don't know why they have offensive linemen in that data set.

So it sounds like we can pretty much add .1 - .2 seconds to HS forty times and call it a day? I would expect most kids get a little faster barring dramatic weight increases.

The hand start, electronic finish 40 times look .2 fast relative to combine numbers. I suspect that is the method used for lots of HS camps producing the bevy of sub 4.5 prospects out there.

Add it up and .2 second overstatement on timing plus a .1 improvement due to conditioning and you have the .1 second average differential of combine vs. HS forties.

The water main that ruptured was over 90 years old. It takes a great deal of care to shutdown high pressure lines (to prevent waterhammer) when the mains are in good condition and the valves actually work. Most 90 year old valves ceased working generations ago. Another sign of aging infrastructure and lack of maintenance in America.

And keep in mind you need to shutdown valves on each side of the break. Any interconnections (with other water mains) between the shutoff valves also have to be shutdown. Valves can be miles apart and can be paved over and "lost".

Can't stand people who can't suck up it and shake hands.

In this case, you shouldn't only shake his damn hand for the sake of competitiveness, but you should shake his fucking hand because he's your elder and it's the respectable thing to do. I was always taught that when your elder or superior extends you their hand in a handshake, you shake their damn hand until they decide the handshake is over.

People in high positions who can't show even the simplest signs of respect sicken me.

The cover Mora is going with is that it was because Hundley took a cheap shot in the game... or that nothing happened out of the ordinary with the handshake and we're all crazy?... guy is all over the place with his post-incident justification.

Simply put, he was in a very bad mood in the 4th quarter after allowing a KSU comeback.

The "cheap shot" angle is really undermined when you consider that UCLA had three personal fouls in the game... and two illegal blocks... and two unsportsmanlike conducts..........

After the fact, Mora is having all the assistants/players circle the wagons on social media to thank him for "protecting their safety".... because, you know, had Mora shook Snyder's hand they all would've been trampled by a stampeding pack of wildebeests or something. But because he was a classless clown, they were all saved.

Again, UCLA had 3 personal fouls, 2 unsportsmanlike conducts, and 2 illegal blocks flagged during the game. But they're the ones who need protection from dirty play.
