Fooled on the trick play, Rochelle missed a huge tackle on the run, and no one decided to cover the fastest guy on the field in the slot. I honestly don't think this was a horrible game by the defense. KVR matched up with Juju and made a couple of monster plays. Rushing 3 against 5 isn't going to generate much pressure.
I know all about zone blitzes and the reasoning behind them, but it still gives me an aneurism every time I see a DL in coverage. I understand the whole passing lane thing, but Romeo was 20 yards downfield!
I'll take a big win in a rivalry game any way we can get it.

I think Fluties blowing USC all night gave me an infection. Heading to the ER for a shot.

They were all over Adoree Jackson's jock, even after he got beat bad by Fuller a few times. "Best athlete on the field, though he got beat there"....really?

Am doing this on a borrowed device.

The only think I didn't like about the game didn't have anything to do with the players, or coaches. Anyone on the team. Or the announcers.

(People amaze me that NBC tries to throw the opponents fans a bone; isn't that how we all treat them on campus for the game? With hospitality? )

More tomorrow.

Damn what a game... My head hurts, no voice and a little hungover but it was worth it to see the Irish beat U$C.

Happy for Corey. On his TD catch I was telling everone around me that it's going to 88 and sure enough he came up with a big catch and I couldn't be happier for him. I was sitting in the North endzone by the student section so I have a great video of it.

Just another awesome trip to South Bend. Last time was in 2011 against U$C so I'm happy the boys came out to play this time and came up with a big 4th quarter to win.

Just like the team, I'm going to need the bye week to recover and rest up. 6-1 at the bye with a manageable schedule the rest of the way. I like our chances of finishing 11-1 and getting to the playoffs.

Dunno if this will embed, but I got a video of the trumpets under the Dome before the game. I got there an hour and 45 minutes prior to kickoff and all the railing spots were already taken, so I had to stand behind someone and lift my camera up to the best of my abilities. As a result it's a bit shaky, sorry.
