Well... I don't care much for this update. Not getting my hopes up here. Even if he does commit to ND. This is getting into the drama mama category of Chris Clark.

FWIW, this question was asked at 247 recently and Loy responded saying that this has been addressed by the staff and Daelin. So either Loy is making it up or there was somewhat of a come to jesus moment where we laid out what we think is acceptable.

I hope that is the case. I would love to get him. I am gonna temper my excitement just the same. Haha

Lol You guys are ridiculous. There has been NO drama. He was committed to USC but wanted to official to another school like tons of other recruits. He decommitted finally because of a alcoholic coach. If Nick Saban, the head coach of the greatest defense and dynasty of our time calls you up, you wouldn't even answer?

Quote:
Hayes, who is ranked the No. 13 outside linebacker in the nation by Scout.com, attended Notre Dame's season opener against Texas back on Labor Day weekend and as Irish players entered Notre Dame Stadium, he received a hug from ND head coach Brian Kelly, according to reports.

"I've been loving Notre Dame since my sophomore year when I attended camp and they offered me on the spot," Hayes said Monday. "I'm confident with how they want to use me because they're recruiting me like they did Jaylon (Smith) and they want me to come in and do the same things he's doing (at the hybrid defensive end / linebacker spot). I'm confident the coaching staff would get me to where I need to be at that level. And, I've also talked to 'Bama. 'Bama contacted me today and they want me to set up an official."

Maybe Bama contacted him because they think KK will go to ND?

I'm with you Cack. Don't feel great about it and I'll be ecstatic if he joins the class but I'll also be counting down the minutes until the paperwork has been submitted. A few too many red flags for my liking.

Uhmm... I don't know how to say this but.... well.... you should sit down.

He has already signed "papers" with USC.

My apologies for leaving that ambiguous. I mean the official paperwork, I believe it's the LOI that is binding, for his commitment. Not the financial aid paperwork.

of course, we all remember EV and more recent departures post-signing day but I can't worry about that or my hair will fall out.

I think he'll ask to sign the same financials with ND but we won't hear about it till later, if ever. He has shoulder issues and I'm sure he's just covering his bases. I'd do the same thing if I had Barattitis.

To be honest he's probably better suited as a 3-4 OLB then DE or whatever we are selling to him

I agree but I also think he could play a lot of places. He's a very good athlete and an average football player as this juncture.

Why wouldn't you visit OSU?

I don't think anyone is saying he should not, just that Loy is reporting he is pretty much an ND lock and should commit this weekend, yet he is within a matter of hours, setting up other OVs. That is why everyone is LOLing. At least I am anyway. Haha.

So either Loy's info was bad or this kid really does love himself some spotlight. I with ya now Cack.

As long as we get Kareem, I don't care what happens here.

OSU easily scares me the most out of those. Well, unless Ole Miss calls up the bag man again.

Donte Vaughn committed to ND on Oct 5th, still planned to visit Tennessee for their last game (not sure that happened or not).

I still think he's Irish and wouldn't be surprised if he leaves Oct 18th as a silent if not out right commit.
