I'll take every Virginia DB with a VT offer, all day, every day.

Welcome to the Irish family, Jalen!

This.

They say VT had him at #1 for DB's on their board, also he just visited UGA and Auburn recently

Very nice offer list, and #1 on VT's board. Crazy impressive.

Let the Invasion begin, hope it's as big as it is on our southern border.
Welcome to the ND family.

Great fricken start. A little Metamucil for the constipation.

Per Ivins at BGI, who talked to the family, the plan wasn't to commit today but they just loved it that much. Family on board is a big deal as VT fans think dad will be able to get him back for them. Naw not this time.

Good to see that they loved it that much.

Has anyone checked out any VT boards? Being a legacy and their #1 target,,, think things would be blowing up over yonder.

Yea, they're pretty salty. Until now they thought he was a lock. In fact, Loy said that the only reason he and Wiltfong didn't CB him to ND previously was because an VT insider convinced them he wouldn't be leaving the state.

Some VT fans are upset, but most comments say his heart apparently wasn't with Tech so move on. VT apparently already has four DBs committed as well.

Think he'll turn into a real good one. Great size and athleticism for a DB. The rest can be coached up.

In that video posted from Irish Illustrated I thought he had a pretty good understanding for not playing the position much.

I really like having recruiters in the class, it usually turns out well. Oh, and great pickup. If VT and our staff wanted him in the secondary, I want him.

Kid is on top of it and locked in to recruit the maximum class already. Ground meet feet moving!

Was watching his senior highlights and in one of the games I'm pretty sure he tears a kids ACL with a juke. Go to the play at 1:08 and look at #21 later in the play

If we get a few more DBs in this class, I wouldn't mind if this guys was put on offense. He's electric with the ball in his hands

Think Elliot has the highest potential of all of our DB commits. 6'1" kid that is as agile as him could be a beast at CB.

As of now, maybe. But if Studstill comes then I think he is definitely the one with the highest potential and could probably play a lot as a freshman

I think Studstill is a pretty sure thing to be a good player at the very least, but he's like 5'11" which is kinda small for a safety and it's harder to light up Ronald Jones the way he lights up High School kids at that size. While he moves well and has had fluid hips, there are some questions about his top end speed too.

5-11? Every site lists him at 6-1.

Damarious Randall was the first safety taken in the 2015 draft and he is just 5'11".

First 4 safeties taken in the draft:
Damarious Randall- 5'11"
Landon Collins- 6'0"
Jaquiski Tartt- 6'1"
Jordan Richards- 5'11"

Oh my god that's hillarious. The kid just fell over and immediately called for the trainer.

I think Elliott is the most athletic of the bunch, so if he develops technically, then I think he has the highest upside. But Love is in the same boat and Studstill is no slouch athletically and is technically proficient despite still being in high school.
