Week 6 Prediction Poll (Navy @ ND)

This team comes out pissed off, and replicates their game plan from GT with some tweaks here and there to keep Navy off balance. Jaylon forces Reynolds to pitch; Shumate/Redfield/Martini clean up where needed; Schmidt, Cage, Tillery and Day will keep the fullback from gashing the middle. Fuller catches two scores of 50+ yards, and one of the freshman has a 50+ yard TD run (I'm betting Dexter this time).

It will be 49-14. The only reason ND doesn't score 60+ again is because Navy will destroy the clock once they are getting pounded and know that there is no use in moving quickly.

HOPEFULLY, they'll come out with a mission in mind and a chip on their shoulder. Turnovers galore and a 2 pt loss ... I would sure hope so. Dropped in the polls like they lost to a 15 pt underdog. We need a replication of the Ga. Tech game defensively. Going with a Irish win 34-24

We handled Ga Tech, I think BVG has a handle on the option now and Martini leads the way with double digit tackle total.

Our offense uncorks a serious can of whoop ass as BK unleashes Kizer. If he can throw in the rain, he can make it rain against Navy. Fuller has two long TDs, Procise two rushing TDs. Three TDs are 50 yards plus.

I think it's important to note that Navy may actually be flat out better than Georgia Tech. They definitely make better decisions with the football. And I personally think Keenan Reynolds is better than Justin Thomas. So while we were fairly successful against Tech, I think this will be close most of the game. If we tackle the way we did in the first half against Clemson we will lose.

We ultimately win by 10...

I think it's important to note that Navy may actually be flat out better than Georgia Tech. They definitely make better decisions with the football. And I personally think Keenan Reynolds is better than Justin Thomas. So while we were fairly successful against Tech, I think this will be close.

They also cut block much more than GT, which typically gives us more trouble in creating negative plays. Where they should be worse is on defense, so hopefully we should be able to score 50+. Navy currently ranks 53rd in defense and Georgia Tech is a respectable 25th. Navy ranks higher in offense (37th to 45th).

GT has a better overall team we let them make it close. Our preplanning worked well I am sure it will work well again. 44-24 we have some big plays in the passing game.would live to see the young guys come in the 4th. Day/martini have the big stat days but Jaylon has a great game just doesn't get the stats to back it up.

Navy should be in the top 25 this week based on the performances thus far. Navy is the most disciplined team we'll play all year and they're the one team in the country I'd bet my last dollar won't beat themselves. Always want to get a lead on a run heavy team as they struggle playing from behind. Offense shouldn't have an issue moving the ball.. really concerned about the game within the game (getting out with a win and without another major injury). This game also concerns me greatly for USC next week.. ask OSU.. the post-Navy struggle is real.

Prediction - ND wins 38-17 and escapes without a major injury. *knock on wood*

I'm thinking 9- to 13-point ND victory, but it's a lot closer than the score suggests with ND pulling away LATE. I fear another lukewarm start, possibly going into the half behind. I hope to God I'm wrong, but I just have a bad feeling about things. I really hope team morale is better than I'm giving them credit for.

This is a big week to me. To we come out sulking from the loss, heads down, just go thru the motions, not execute to the level we have every week but last. Or do we completely shut them down and win by 21. I'd like to see CRob get some of his confidence back. Our DBs play smart and fast. And both lines dominate.

BVG has the blueprint, the boys know their assignments and Navy doesn't have a defense capable of keeping their offense from having to throw.

Prosise gains early chunks leading to deep balls to Fuller and Hunter.

Kelly gets a lot of youth in this game in order to avoid the hangover against USC.

We are a supremely talented team and will prove that today.

I think dropped balls and poor preparation by the coaching staff led to last week's debacle. I think Kelly made going into death valley TOO big of a deal and psyched his own team out.
