Be careful. Those Middies can be slippery and a bit on the grab-assy side when in the civilian world and, ahem, "lubricated."

Oh ... and don't go all blue-hair. Get off yo azzes and yell till your chords ain't got no tone!

Keenan Reynolds, Navy run toward 'another goal' in AAC debut season | NCAA Football | Sporting News

By Bill Bender TSN

Navy QB Keenan Reyolds has scored 64 TDs over the past 3 seasons. He needs 14 TDs to break Montee Ball's TD record. Reynolds also has 23 passing TDs while throwing only 7 TDs.

We’re the Naval Academy, and we’re never going to change the way we do things,” Navy coach Ken Niumatalolo told Sporting News. “Our mission first and foremost is to prepare Naval officers and leaders of our country.

It adds up to the next play for a program that didn’t get enough attention for its success as an independent. Navy won at least eight games and appeared in six bowl games the last seven seasons. The Midshipmen beat Notre Dame in 2009 and 2010.

Navy’s classic triple-option churned out 285.7 rushing yards per game from 2007-14. The only school that’s done better on the ground is Georgia Tech, led by former Navy coach Paul Johnson.

Reynolds leads Navy past Air Force 33-11

NCAA College Football Recap - Air Force Falcons at Navy Midshipmen - Oct 03, 2015 - CBSSports.com

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) Keenan Reynolds is determined to bring the Commander-in-Chief's Trophy back to the Naval Academy.

The dynamic quarterback moved his team one step closer to that goal with a dominant performance against Air Force.

Reynolds ran for 117 of his 183 yards in the first half and the Midshipmen took a 33-11 victory over the Falcons on Saturday.

Reynolds completed 4 of 10 passes for 117 yards with a touchdown on a wet, windy day. Chris Swain, a 6-foot-1, 245-pound fullback, had a pair of short-yardage scores for the Midshipmen (4-0).

They're undefeated and the second best team we will have played so far this year. Could easily lose game... quintessential trap. And then you have USC. Fun.

There are two games next week. One is the Navy game and the other is getting out of the Navy game with no injuries. 2 wins would be phenomenal.

The team can either lose focus with this crushing loss or it can take out the anger on Navy. I expect Procise and Fuller to break back out, but it's probably not going to be pretty.

Not too mention USC has extra rest because they play in Thursday night. So we get the Navy hangover and a fresher USC.

Will be very interesting to see how the team responds to the Clemson loss. IMO, this game will determine their bowl destiny. Are they made of moxy or are they frail? Lot to be determined this Sat.

Ugh...I'm not a fan at all of playing Navy in between Clemson and USC. Horrible horrible scheduling.

The way they played vs GTECH gives me confidence but coming after Clemson worries me. Should be able to run the football at will against Navy.

Were the #31 receiving vote getter in the AP poll

Notre Dame needs Navy and Temple to win 10+ games and be in the 20-25 range at season's end.

11-1 with wins over ranked USC, Standford, Temple, and Navy would be pretty nice.

This game is over before it starts. Navy isn't as athletic as GT we let them make that closer then it should have been. We win this game by 17.

Not a fan of that lineup either.

As far of scheduling, ND's scheduling is a lot less flexible since the relationship with the ACC. As I understand the ACC fits ND into their schedule with 5 opponents. ND also has contractural relationships with USC and Stanford for mid Oct and late Nov with the opponents having games in South Bend on alternate years. And now Navy is no longer an independent with flexiblity to arrange their schedule. The AAC dictates must of their schedule.

Sagarin's Predictor makes ND a 10 point favorite.

The game's opened at ND -16 and has dropped to -14.5.

Some of the problem with cratering last year after the tough FSU lost (other than injuries) was that our leadership/captains were made up of marginal players. We need our best players being our best leaders. We kind of have the same situation this year, especially on the offensive side of the ball.

Hopefully we don't have the same outcome.

So Mrs. Lincoln other than that, how did you enjoy the play?

This game is going to come down to the wire I think. Something similar to the 2013 game.

Big week for Joe Schmidt and Max Redfield. I feel good about the DT's ability to take away the dive. Schmidt needs to recognize and blow up the QB veer and QB follow plays that Keenan Reynolds lives off of. Redfield running the alley and making one on one tackles will go a long way to determine the outcome. I think they get it done!

Bounce back week!

I really hope this game is a laugher. Nobody wants to see our guys limping into a showdown with SC.

Navy's cuts are vicious. I hate ND plays them every year...yea I get the reason.

Hope we aren't lamenting the loss of another D lineman next week.

Even though it's the Navy and I wish them no ill will, I'd like to see our guys come out fired up and smack them in the mouth a bit. If they come out hard and mean, maybe take some aggression out on the Midshipmen, then maybe they've still got their fire after that brutal Clemson finish. If we come out flat and look defeated...fuck.
