Amazing. It's like seeing one person simultaneously kick 60,000 others in the nuts.

If you wear bowties to a football game you deserve to have this happen to you.

I went to the NC game a couple of years ago and the way the Bama fans dressed was such a culture shock to me. Literally all wearing golf shirts, button downs, and khakis, and the women were wearing dresses. At the ND games and Philadelphia Eagles games I go to everyone wears t shirts or jerseys like you're supposed to to a football game. Its a football game not a frat party.

That's Bama fans that can afford to go. Check out your run of the mill SEC games.

I will say the girls in their dresses and cowboy boots at the UT/OK game looked very nice. All the OK folks were prepped out. Had a guy (UT fan) with sleeves cut off and overalls on sitting in front of me last night.

It's definitely a southern thing, I'm a big fan of the girls wearing dresses and I typically wear a golf shirt... Not khakis though fuck that.

I've been to Auburn, Alabama, and Ole Miss stadiums and while there are many poorly dressed rednecks, there are a bunch and i mean a bunch of douchey frat/sorority preps that dress like that for every game. Not to say they are all douches but they come across that way between the hair and the clothes.

Yeah its the frat hair, bowtie, flip flop/sandals, khakis, button downs with sleeves rolled up mid forearm that get me.

IDK. I go to a lot of games like you. I find that travelling fans prep up, regardless of conference. Home games at UGA, UT, IU, GT,,,, shorts and Ts for a lot of folks on their home turf. There are prepsters everywhere, but I think the fact that folks that travel (be it away games, driving a distance for their home team, bowl games, or the fact they take their wives lol) and their the economic situation play a part.

Edit, fratsters are almost always prep

You guys are clueless. "Frat" and "prep" are not the same thing. Prep is the Kennedys and Andy Bernard, not southern football fans.

IMO, Fratsters are a lot of times prep, but also have their Fratster look when not prep. Prep is Prep.

I remember a sportswriter commenting on the disparity between the fans at the 1988 ND-southern cal game. Something along the lines of ND fans looking like they came to eat sausage and drink beer, whereas the southern cal fans looking like they came for a boutique. It was a classic comment.

Priceless.

I keep thinking I need to get pics like this blown up and framed for a sports themed room. Too many times you get the football card like ones, whereas it's images like this one and the Golden Tate Michigan state band pics that really show how fun the game can be.

lol, was just getting ready to say close to the same thing. WTF. Was he an usher or band guy that abandoned his post?

To me, it looks more like he drives a Good Humor truck in the late 1950s.
