Anna asked a source "very close" to Hayes if a flip could happen, reply was:![]()

Yeah, as juniors? Not even close. Jaylon is much better than Manti was as a junior. Manti's senior season in terms of big plays+leadership+consistency was out of control, but Jaylon is ahead of the curve at this point.

Yep. Jaylon has looked better than Manti as a freshman and sophomore and I expect that trend to continue. Hopefully he also sees how an additional year of coaching/experience prior to going pro can pay big dividends like it did for Manti, Eiffert and Martin. Looks like Day and Stanely will be added to that list as well.
The biggest difference is we only get Jaylon for 3 years, so hopefully his Junior year is as Epic or moreso than Manti's senior year. Also, I'm fairly certain I've seen pics of Jaylon with his GF, so we are good there as well.
EDIT*** HAPPY DANCE for possibly getting Daelin
While I don't EXPECT Jaylon to stay for his senior year, I would not be surprised in the least if he did. He is, after all, cut from a special cloth.

I would be absolutely stunned if he comes back (barring the unexpected: injury or decrease in play). He's projected as a top-10 pick and is getting heaps of praise from everyone. There is literally no reason to come back, he may also have his degree by end of 3rd year or summer session.
Even Stanley came back because he could improve his draft stock and polish his game. Anything else Jaylon needs to improve on, can be learned in the pros. You don't walk away from a top-10 pick.
I'm sure that's one of the reasons coaches made him a captain. Not that he didn't deserve it but I'm sure the coaches knew this may be their only chance to bestow a captaincy on him.
The staff didn't talk about improving Stanley's stock, per Stanley himself. They talked about making him more "pro ready" so he didn't get lost in a system once drafted. They talked about extending his career, not just draft position. Nowadays, it's not like there are the huge guaranteed contracts like there used to be. Now it's more important to stay in the league and get paid.
I don't believe that he's is a consensus top 10 pick either. Pretty close, but plenty of experts have him in the 15 range.
If your reply means you are willing to bet he doesn't leave ND after his junior year, I'll bet all my future vbucks at that time. Should be at least a few billion (all tied up in bets and I've lost a ton).
They are making him more "pro ready" in two ways: improving stock and hopefully improving his longevity once he gets to the league. One way to make money is maximize your first contract, the other is try to maximize your duration by being more pro-ready. Jaylon is already in a position to do both. He's ready and he has enough athleticism to pick up the rest on the fly.
This was a gigantic game for Skyline (2-1), which was coming off an 0-9 season, but had two decisive victories to begin this season.
Part of the reason for the turnaround has been transfer Daelin Hayes, the state’s No. 1 player and USC commit. And Hayes certainly was a force while he was in the game, but his evening ended late in the first quarter with an injury.
“It’s his shoulder. He’s got to have it checked out to see what’s going on,” coach Chanterius Brock said. “We knew it was hurt. It came out, and they put it back in.”
He returned to the sideline at the start of the second half, but he had ice wrapped around his right shoulder. A shoulder injury ended his sophomore season two years ago after four plays.
His words say glad to be back but his face says get me the hell away from this guy.
