I can't remember if it was Crusader or Lax, maybe even someone else but they mentioned a few months ago how small Stanford's Dline was going to be this year and they were right. NW's OL has been pushing them around. Might be the first time in a few years where we can really push them around. They still play tough and solid D but this does not look like the Stanford D of years past. Also, still not impressed with their offense. They really came on last year versus UCLA and Maryland but once again they look plain and predictable.

I have always been in the camp of "Stanford is bad" because I don't believe in Shaw or Hogan or their mundane offense. Christian McCaffrey is pretty much the only guy I like for them, and I think he has breakout star potential if used right.

Prior to years past where we've needed Stanford to be good for SOS. I'm goin back and forth on whether I think we'll need them to be strong this year. If we win out we don't but if we drop 1 and want to get in at 11-1, we need them to win, what you guys think?

Unreal failure to put points on the board the last two possessions for NW. I understand you don't want to make a critical mistake on the last drive but you could've attempted a couple mid range throws and told your QB to be extra safe.

Trick plays need to go out the window.

Feel bad for Solomon Thomas, playing out of place at NT. Similar to a WR being asked to inline block at TE. Hopefully he really likes Stanford because that's unreal that they are asking him to play there. I guess that was just for few series and they out Aziz back on the Nose

Since Luck and the Harbaugh-shaped defense/OL have progressively moved on from Stanford and Shaw has had to play more and more of his recruits... losses have gone from 2 to 3 to 5 to ? from 2012 until this year.

In FEI, the offense has gone from 34th to 22nd to 44th to this abomination we're seeing today. On defense, they've gone from 3rd to 1st to 11th to ?

In short, Shaw can't coach offense and even a slight regression in defense is pretty much a death sentence for his teams. He's basically the LSU of the Bay Area. The best of his teams was 2013 when the 09/10 Harbaugh recruits were at their peak.

Northwestern dominated on OL and DL, as repeated by the announcers numerous times. We better push them around with the line we're bringing back.

Man, Stanford looks as uncomfortable going hurry up out of the shotgun as the triple option teams so when they are forced to. That is some terrible preparation. Can't even get the shotgun snaps right. Hogans head is spinning the entire time.
