we're gonna have a great ten plus wins season. We are loaded with talent this year and of course it can always go either way as we all know, but this team has the personnel in place right now to be truly special! USC has gotten back into the race with Betiku, per Rivals. They've made him a priority and have had a lot of contact with him recently. Bad news for us (not that we ever truly had a good shot IMO) is that is loves LA and probably won't want to leave to go back east, not even to PSU. I'd rather he choose UCLA, but USC owns that Serra pipeline unfortunately.

I have to tell you, every time I read anything about this kid I am impressed with his maturity, intelligence and communication skills. Can you even imagine a 17 year old clear enough to make it plain he wants a no bullshiit coach, (because of the long-term advantage), and how he knows exactly where he wants skill to maximize his effectiveness? I mean a lot of players want to play for a team stacked at the sexy positions, but a high school rush end knowing how important defensive tackles are?

Maybe it is a bit of a jump, but with this kid indicating his prejudice toward ND (he has deemed the campus beautiful, and stated that the coaches are different in their no b.s. attitudes, which he obviously values) I think he will fit in well with BVG, BK, and the ND pitch. I am holding for good results on this one; but I am not holding my breath!

We can blitz him Til we are blue in the face but not likely to change anything... Only real hope is if we play lights out and shutdown USC on his visit then we have a chance although I think he stays in Cali
