Sampson hearing this is done and the announcement will be one to watch
Does anyone else remember the period when fans wanted HH gone?

Whatever you wanna call it, every kid we offer is an RKG then if you look at it that way. I'm just saying two people have told me Parker is different and it's what ND needs. I'm all for it, I'm just saying he's different then Steve Elmer

For a while I did, yes he can recruit but the on the field results have to come this year. O line is loaded and if we struggle I will have no problem calling for his head. No excuse IMO
Damn bro. I really think the offensive line has played well the last two years.

You know, I will too ....BUT what the Irish did in Nashville to LSU can't be "figured out". That was a simple display of we are better than you with a real decided schematic advantage sprinkled on top.
If there wasn't so much fun to be had in recruiting, I'd wish for a time machine to drop me in J lot for theTexas game's tailgate.
.
I agree with everything you said, just forgot to add it into my post earlier

In 2012 the dominant OL was the primary reason why the offense worked. In 2013, the OL was #2 in the entire country in pass protection despite having a statue in Tommy Rees behind center.
Last year, the OL was worse than both those years, which is understandable given the new players, position changes, and injuries.
I was just messing with ya bro. Teams need different personalities, scientific fact (maybe not science but def. true). If he brings a lil "fuck you" to the table, all the better.
I remember Tenn. being happy they got rid of him, and ND fans questioning the hire, but never wanting him gone after that.

Being somewhat of a UT fan with season tix (one that wears his ND hat with an orange shirt, or vice versa depending on game times), I can tell you a lot of people were not happy to see HH go. When he jumped to ND, I took a lot of shit.
Really? I live in East Tennessee and people thought he was terrible and a worse recruiter. I blame that on how bad things were under Dooley. Everyone I know was glad he left.
I live in Knoxville and when HH came to ND, many were thankful. I guess it just depends on what crowd you run with.
As for Parker, I said months ago that if we were to land 3 of Kramer, Liam, Bredson, and Bordeaux that I'd consider this cycle a home run on the front line. That's not changed IMO. This will shake out as a great OL class. Staff can now sit back and swing for the fences or simply move on to next year if nothing pans out. That's a great spot to be in considering it's June.
Are they still feeling the same way?
I don't think many pay attention. Lane Kiffin is really the only former coach talked about.
As long as he comes in and teaches his nasty . . .

We won't struggle this year, and 12 and 13 we're great performances IMHO. The only mixed bag was last year and there are many reasons/excuses that could be used. Like you said, once it all came together after musical chairs, we dominated LSU. I think we'll see another level of nastiness with MZ standing behind these guys. Also, can't argue with draft picks.
I'd say that 2011 was our only year where we really had a dominant run game in the Kelly era IMO, and that was with Warriner coaching. While we actually had a higher YPC in 2012, I personally think that has a lot to do with Golson adding another dimension to the offense. Even the 2012 offense had very little luck converting on 3rd and short or goal line situations on the ground. The effectiveness in pass blocking in 2012 and 2013 was incredible, but the run blocking hasn't shown up yet.
While I can't predict whether or not Malik will put up raw numbers of yards as Golson, I do predict that the offense will be much better more efficient in short yardage situations and at the goal line due to how much of a true dual threat he is.
Agree to an extent, but I think we were very predictable and limited those years where we didn't do well in short yardage situations. Definitely always better in passing game, but now I think HH has his guys now, a wider playbook, and a spunkier QB.
When is he announcing I know it's tomorrow but is there a specific time?
Noon, it's gonna be a rap song or a music video
