The problem is that's the conclusion the investigator reached and filed in his report. Obviously after reading thru the report, and being apart of the investigation, Roger Goodell came to a different one.

Really? Seems harsh (though not overly) to me for something that really doesn't seem to be that big of a deal. Do people really think they should take away the Super Bowl title? Would you take away a World Series title if you found out after the fact that one of the pitchers probably scuffed a ball? Or a Super Bowl for failed post game steroid tests?

I'll blindly defend ND or any Boston team especially when it's in regards to something like this. I wouldn't be defending Tom if he had smacked around Giselle, but taking air out of the football, which still couldn't be proven after 100+ days of investigating? I'll defend Tom's innocence till my death haha

I think this punishment is ridiculous in the sense that the Pats still won the Super Bowl. What happened when the NCAA came down on USC for cheating?....They took away their championship and Reggie's Heisman. The NFL is a fuqing joke.

Suspending Brady, however, was the right call. And to those comparing it to Ray Rice, stop. That entire situation got botched. Brady cheated, he then lied about it, he should've been suspended (more games, if you ask me, but I digress).

The fine is whatever. $1M, is it really that much to a billion dollar franchise? Idk. Where does that money go, btw?

The draft picks are whatever. I think it's a bit much, personally. I would've rather seen them lose the Super Bowl rings than lose draft picks.

Ha, no I'm not, but it is fun to watch them and I'm rooting for them. They have had a tough go and I am supporting them on their journey to make a run. Besides, my Braves traded everyone that I followed on the team anyways.

They're sports teams and athletes. These guys aren't role models for me. I'm not 12 years old. I want my teams to win and ideally stay relatively clean. The Hernandez situation sucked. The Ortiz/Ramirez roids situation sucked. Things like Spygate and Defaltegate? I just don't care about since they're such minimal issues. Belichick videtaping sideline signals in front of 80k people didn't my jimmies rustled. Neither did Brady maybe taking .5 PSI out of a football. I'm not naive. Every team in every league is constantly trying to do something to get a slight edge.

Sorry for not jumping on the Brady-is-a-cheat bandwagon when their 100+ day report turned up 0 credible evidence. Yes, there was almost certainly some wrongdoing...but, I'm not getting too bent out of shape over it when it's an issue of air in a football without any actual proof of tampering. Just being a sheep, I guess.
