Played against the toughest schedule in the country last year.

Plays against Javon McKinley everyday in practice.

Had an early Boise w/Sanford offer.

Keep an eye out for him, he's getting offers from all over.

We offered today on his visit. For those that haven't watch his film, I'd do so. An entertaining player and makes a lot of big plays. Obviously doesn't have the ideal size for S but I thought he looked good in coverage.

Good for him! I saw you'd asked me if I'd seen him play and forgot to answer.

The answer is kinda... I saw Centennial twice last year but I didn't really notice his play and to be honest, I was zeroing in on other players both on his team and LB Poly and SJ Bosco.

He plays in a loaded backfield this year with Kentrell Love, Desmond Williams and Kamrin Bynum all having multiple DI offers. Kentrell Love is interesting as he's a 6-2 corner.

Chacho appears to be a bit of a tweener but he has been tearing it up on 7v7 scene and gets a lot of pub out here. I'd say besides Burton and Thompson, he's the #3 safety now passing CJ Pollard and ahead of Morgan, Croom and Warner... at least as far as who's getting talked about.

I'm glad they offered Jalen Hall today, I wrote a bio up on him last weekend and am heading over to post it now. That's another loaded team at Hawkins with 4 skill guys with Power 5 offers.

Just off of his highlights, I like this kid.

I had to keep reminding myself that he is playing excellent competition in his clip, because he looks like he is just messing with those QB's.

I could see him playing corner.

Also... is he latino?

Only asking because that might mean that he is Catholic as well.

Felt pretty good to see him pick off Mr. Barnett.

Love this kids game. He reminds me of a bigger, athletic version of Nicco Fertitta. While I wouldnt lump Ulloa into the elite catagory, I would love for Notre Dame to land this kid.

I will be interested to see what kind of build he projects at, because he does look a little thin.

Exactly. I wish I would have paid attention to him last year at the games but there was a lot of talent to keep track of. 6-0, 190lbs and still in your junior year of high school ain't too shabby. Is it legit? I don't know. If it is, I'm not in the least bit concerned that he can be 210 by his 2nd year of college. The million dollar question is always how do you play with extra weight. I know guys who lost all of their edge going from 185 to 205 in basketball.

He has good ball skills so a 6-0, 210lb FS wouldn't be the end of the world. That's the same size as Shumate and 10 pounds more than Redfield.

I could care less, I'll keep taking chances at safety as long as they have 5 star roommates!

Like this kid's film. He's great at getting where the ball is and seems to make a habit of stripping the ball from the carrier. His awareness and ability to play the ball is top-notch. His athleticism and frame aren't great so I'm skeptical as to whether his future is at S. He definitely has the hip fluency to move to corner if need be though, so he has versatility.

At 6ft 190lb, I would think he can add 20lbs of muscle over the course of a couple of years. Bob Sanders was only 5'8" 210lb.

I saw them 3 times last year, and I didnt notice him either, for the same reasons that you mentioned - there was a alot of talent (seniors) on the field other than him. That being said, his junior year video was impressive (i think there is even an INT of that QB from SantiagoHS). Its undeniable he was a dependable defender for Centennial.

for anyone who doesnt know, his name is pronounced U-low-ah

The one who did pop out was their LB Zach Brumbaugh. He doesn't have a recruiting page with any of the services but he was like Scoobie Wright IV. Dude's got a motor. I bet he gets a Power 5 ride or a Mountain West one at least.

Thats the thing, Redfield is a rock, but looks small in person. He plays big, like Ulloa, but Redfield looks a lot bigger than Ulloa, so that says something.

I like Ulloa, but I like Pryts a little more. I know Pryts doesnt play good competition, but that kid is a freak.

Also, I am curious why Ullos was offered before DJ Morgan. Morgan gives you flexibility at S/Nickel and possibly OLB. Ulloa seems like a safety. I dont see the cornerback traits in him. He is however that upperclassman on a team like Utah/Boise St/etc that you hate to play because he gets diesel and makes plays haha.

Bingo. Agree 100% on the bold.

I think Morgan was trending away and they never got off the fence. I was told that Morgan and Robinson were both VERY interested in ND when ND wasn't doing anything other than dropping form letters. I would have to believe Morgan's ship has sailed. Chacho got the offer and Morgan did not. These guys are on the same 7v7 team and that isn't gonna play well when Morgan has been reading how he's got an ND offer coming and it goes to his teammate out of left field (for most)

I've said it from Day 1 this cycle.... ND is going to get a couple of Cali DB's this year. I thought it was Morgan and Robinson but who knows now. Still think it happens with the added recruiting manpower and Sanford having much more experience in CA.

For me it was more of a length issue. Two fold, I've consistently heard that we're looking for length in the secondary with this class. Also, I don't think he has quite the movement skills for CB but does for FS. However he's a tad on the short side for what you'd like to see 6'1-6'2 from your FS but because of everything else that he does well, I say sign him up and figure it out later. I completely agree with your above statement about him being a bigger Nico. There are always guys that lack certain physical traits but make big plays and are in the right spot, both of them seem to be that guy.

Steve put in a CB for him.

I really like that kids tape, he plays a lot better than a 3:s:. In the beginning of the tape he reminded of the Honey Badger with all the turnovers he was forcing. But this kid seems to have the potential to add something to BVG's defense, and that is the ability to be a ball hawk, be reliable against the run, and put pressure on the quarterback. We don't have a player like that right now.

And I might lose it if we lose him to Stanford

From Loy's interview (Free)

"It was great and the offer is big," Ulloa told 247Sports Director of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong. "Biggest one I've gotten since Stanford. It's just a great vibe and tradition that comes with it.

"They're similar in some ways but Notre Dame just comes with such a rich tradition and history."

Prior to today's offer, Ulloa made it clear that an offer from the Irish would be big.

“It would be an honor,” said Ulloa of a Notre Dame offer. “I’m hoping that I can finally pull the offer tomorrow. It would be big. I’ve had a short list of schools I’ve wanted to go to since I was in middle school and Notre Dame is on that list. If I enjoy the school and the coaches, then they’ll shoot straight to the top.”
