Spread the word homie,... I know nothing of this game.... Is it PC? Or PS4 also? What kind of game?

PC, PS4, Xbox One.

The original Battlefront for PS2 spanned both the "Clone Wars" period and the "Empire" period. There were 8 or so maps from each time period. You could play a campaign that would take you map-to-map, where you had to capture key points and eliminate all enemies and reinforcements to win the mission. It followed the continuity of the movies, using cut scenes from the movies to show you how your battles fit into the story line through the Clone Wars and then the Galactic Civil War.

I'd imagine this reboot will follow the same basic idea, but idk if the story will follow the original 5 movies, or if they will involve plotlines from the coming trilogy. Either way, the first two installments were amazing, so this reboot on the new consoles should be fantastic.

I just hope they put in more than just "capture these points on the map" missions. It would be sweet to play some team deathmatch type of stuff against other people online, using the Star Wars universe and its vehicles.

Can someone help me out, Ive seen rumors but can't find anything concrete... Hamill and Fisher are signed to three films but Ford only signed to one... Is that correct? Or just internet chatter....

Also, is there any way to get the original, unbastardizied, Star Wars films anymore, or did they burn those when they did the CGI redux?? I watched a bit of Return of with my daughter last night and it pained me how much of a cartoon Jabas palace is now with all the stupid add ons....

Nope and burned is the correct word, because that's what Lucas did. I read Disney may, possibly, hopefully re-create the originals, but it would take a load of effort and time strip out the CG horseshit that was added later. Fingers are crossed, though.

Edit: I should say, the only way to get the nonCG originals are the VHS copies from back in the day. I don't think they were released on Laser Disc.

This will be strange coming from a Star Wars fan but,... Lucas is kind of an idiot... It's amazing how bad the Jaba dance scene is now... It just a total cluster f of random emotions, colors and sounds that don't flow at all with each other... Whereas the original felt dark enough to really build the menace of Jaba....

Disney isnt allowed to put the originals out anyways WB owns the rights to the very first released edition. I just read someone talking about it ill try and find it

You know, Harrison Ford asked to be killed in the original film if I recall. That, or he asked to be killed in Empire. Maybe he finally gets his wish? (No spoiler, I don't know anything about VII's story)

There's that, it looks like they added a bonus feature where you can see the original trilogy as they were originally meant to be watched...a bonus feature. Downside: nothing has been cleaned up from the laser disk version, so the picture won't even be true DVD quality and you're only getting Dolby Digital 2 with surround I think. That said, if I didn't have 3 kids right now I'd probably buy it anyway to have the originals. There's rumors that Disney was going to touch up the unedited OT for Blueray release, but it was taking a long time due to damage on the original film negatives. There's speculation if that's just rumor though, because Fox seems to have distribution rights to at least A New Hope for the foreseeable future.

Yes, I read that about Fox distribution rights to ANH, too, but that Disney might try to get the rights jointly. Idk...

Damn, if that's game engine footage and the combat looks that good, I'd be impressed. I'd definitely have to get a PS4 for the space combat, unless they'll have it on PC again.

I believe the footage at the end was actually PC play.

It's supposed to be released for PS4, XBox One, and PC.
