Posted about him in the National Recruiting Thread. We need to throw him an offer. He could be a Tavon Austin type WR; undersized, with burners, can make you miss, and do big things in the return game. 247 has USC at the top of his list. We need to jump on him now.

There is a very interesting dynamic working here. Lindsey lives with the Martell family in Vegas. They may even be his legal guardians. People are signing them off to SC right now because of Martell's relationship with Sark, he was committed to Washington first when Sark was there and they are both SoCal kids from the San Diego area. Martell is going to be highly recruited no doubt but does he fit at SC? He's certainly not your typical SC / big NFL prototype QB that's for sure. This is probably a package deal and with them both at Gorman and playing in Fertitta's Stadium, ND will be a factor if they chose to be.

Has risen to #2 WR for both 247 and Rivals and #3 at Scout. ESPN has him at...NR. ESPN sucks, why do I bother?

Has added some offers but largely under recruited so far or at least under offered.

OP is up to date.

BG has a ton of talent in the class of '17 and ND is obviously sitting in the catbird's seat with the school right now. MArtell and Lindsey won't be easy and are probably SC leans but you gotta go after them.

Wow. There has to be some major drama associated with this. It's my understanding that he moved from San Diego with the Martell family to attend Gorman and they were sorta his guardians up there or something along those lines. Now he's off to fill in for Javon McKinley at Centennial. Can't wait to hear the story when it comes out

Oh Garrett is a must for next year but the one you really want is in '18

I'll all but guarantee he ends up a 5 star. I'd offer yesterday along with the QB for '18 Dorian Thompson Robinson.

From everything I've read Lindsey isn't realistic for ND currently due to academics. That's the reason for the slow offer even though he's arguably the best offensive skill player in the country.

I wouldn't bother ever offering even if his books/tests get there. If he or Martell would have had any interest towards ND given where they are, they would have offered them together regardless of books and let them work on them.. He is an electric player but there are only so many spots for 5-9 playmakers. You had CJ-S now and you're in the driver seat for the '18 version in ASB.

Who knows, Ali-Walsh might end up in that APB/slot position too. The Irish are sitting just fine with the short guys.

I'm just wondering what prompted Lindsey and 2018 stud DB. Brendan Radley-Hines to head back to LA on the same day. They both didn't wake up and have the same epiphany.

I smell scandal!

Three high schools in four years....Red flag.

That's not even the whole story. He is originally from the Inland Empire (but not Corona) He met the Martells playing AYF with the Inland Empire Ducks. He then moved in with the MArtells down in Poway (San Diego Co.) for his freshman year. Then the Martells relocated to Vegas so those two could go to Gorman. (and Martell's dad could run his business) So it was three schools but none were ever in his district.

Given what you've stated, this is definitely one not to get excited about and then be happy if we do land him. Lots of smoke signals in the air.

From everything I've read, zero reason to be optimistic outside of he transferred into Centennial and maybe Coach Logan likes ND after the McKinley & Ulloa recruitments.

Is this the kid loy said is the best slot in the country??

Yes.

From Wiltfong's 247 write up on the Pylon 7v7 in Vegas:

• The best slot receiver in the country remains Corona (Calif.) Centennial talent Tyjon Lindsey, the perfect combination of speed, explosiveness and ball skills. A savvy player that knows how to get open and can make the tough catch. USC, Ohio State, Notre Dame and Texas A&M are among the programs the U.S. Army All-American is strongly considering.

While I think he is extremely overrated and no where near as good as DAT(who many compare him too) I think ND will land someone better in the slot and would love to see it be Devan Barrett. Also wonder how fast Lindsey is, he might be quicker than everyone but I just think he's to small and like most Gorman kids many think he is soft.

Did you mean someone else besides Barrett? Isn't he a 6-1 200lber already? I can't say I've watched a lot of his film but I thought what I saw was all running out of the I (?)

As far as Lindsey... he's fast too. He ran low 11/100's as a soph at Gorman. If i remember correctly he quit track after that to concentrate on football.

That being said, I'd love to have him more for the class and the juice he brings more than for need. ASB is right behind him and he's gonna need a spot to keep St Brown Inc happy. CJS would just be a Jr when he'd arrive.

I think OSB or Barrett could play in the slot. I just meant Lindsey is much quicker than he is fast.

This is one of those things where ND is only included because ND, not because they have a shot, right?
