It's unfortunate, but I've married into them. The wife is converted, but for the sake of my father-in-law (Who had 6 girls and no boys, poor guy) I will root for tOSU unless they're playing my Irish. There's also the fact that pretty much everyone I know outside of my family is a Buckeye, so they're going to come up in discussions.

Considering that he had a great deal of support for staying by members of the site, and his feelings at the time were accurate, I don't see how it was disingenuous at all.

He never claimed that his opinions in his original post weren't really his feelings at the time. So he wasn't being disingenuous with his thoughts. He simply listened to his friends and reconsidered. Hell... he even apologized (which wasn't needed at all). So I guess I don't get the reasoning behind bumping a month old thread to point him out.

If anything... I would say that bumping his thread in efforts to embarrass him, while saying you "respect his ongoing contributions", is disingenuous...

TTT, you should continue to post when you see fit. Keep a safe psychological distance from this place and ignore the monkeys who just want to throw their shit. This is a good place to post and the "outsider" perspective is sorely needed sometimes.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend. As long as Wolverine hate flows through my body, I can't outright hate Buckeyes. I dislike a number of their fans that hate the Irish more than they hate Michgian (What's up with that?), but a lot of Buckeyes are alright. My father-in-law is a pretty cool dude, and if it weren't for him I probably would have a different opinion on the matter.

About 5 years ago the park board planted some Aesculus Glabra, Ohio Buckeye, trees in the park across the street from my house.

They spoil the view from my front porch.

I came close to yanking those weeds but didn't want tOSU to have the satisfaction of my paying a hefty fine or "doing time" for malicious mischief.

My buddy played for them so I supported 'em while he was on the team. I only went to two games - against USC and Michigan. It was easier to cheer for OSU when they played those two pieces of shit. He graduated and I'm back to hating them. It feels good.
