They shot 64% in the first half. To hold them to just 47% for the game is amazing job in the second half of defense

the team came out playing tight to start... missing some bunnies and playing boneheaded on D the first 2 or 3 possessions. when it was 4-0 i thought brey should have called timeout to settle everyone down and regroup. he didnt and things snowballed and the lead blossomed to 18 (not saying a timeout would have prevented this, just imo).

when it was 18, all we needed to do was keep it close before half. i knew wed regroup once everyone calmed and regrouped at half. our shooters were much more confident. jerian balled out again, like normal. so smart, so savvy. he is the POY if the season ended today. brad daugherty said it best, he's not a shooter he's a scorer. well put.

all in all this is a great win. carry the momentum into wednesday & were top 5.

one day at a time.

Wow what a great win. To come back from that 18 point deficit on the road is impressive. The JACC is going to be nuts on Wednesday.

Also, Grant really was great tonight. Carried the team from start to finish and I would say this was one of his most impressive games for ND (not like Louisville last year but really a great performance). And he has had some really good games.

What a game! I will try to get some pictures downloaded but I have to say I think the team was taken off guard in the first half by the atmosphere. Having seen us wilt under the Bradley Center lights against Marquette too many times, it was great to see us come from behind an find a win last night. Having seen too many 40+ point losses in Milwaukee, the first half sure felt the same way. Opponent playing out of their minds and ND struggling to get anything going.

After the game, the local club set up a meet and greet with the team. They were awesome. Pat C complimented my daughter's pom-pom hair bows saying he has some just like it. His parent's loved my son's shamrock hat so much they took a picture. All the starters signed every kids' stuff and took every picture graciously.

Hard fought WIN. If they can pull off an RDU Hat Trick next week with a win over Duke it would be pretty awesome!

Awesome win in a hostile environment. It was parents weekend at NC State so that place was packed more than usual. Time for the Dukies!

Watching ESPN this morning and they showed a NCAAM commercial. Not once, in the 30+ second commercial did they show ND (#8, 2 losses). Instead a MSU team (unranked, 7 losses) was shown multiple times, including Izzo 2-3 times. The hatred that ESPN has for ND is disgusting.

Michigan State has a pretty deep basketball following though.

Then why did they hire ND alumni left and right over the years?

ESPN doesn't "hate" Notre Dame... what they do is, LOVE their financial/business interests.

So with what you're describing, the most obvious rationale is that they filmed the spot earlier in the season or that they're trying to hype their upcoming broadcast of Michigan State vs Michigan.

Ranked 8 still for AP poll

Yep. #8 in both polls. #12 in the BPI, #13 in the KenPom, and #36 in the RPI.

Our RPI is coming along slowly. Our OOC schedule strength is killing us there. Really hope it doesn't cost us a seed in the tourney.

Ya i agree. Lunardi has us as the top 3 seed currently. Big Big Big game on wednesday against duke. We win that, then we may finally get some recognition that i think we deserve.

Ya, it's too bad we had such an easy OOC schedule, but hard to blame Brey with the record we had last year. I don't think even the most optimistic fan thought we'd be this good this year.

Recognition we deserve?? We are ranked #8, I think a top 10 ranking = respect. I am more concerned with developing a better team to prep for ACC and NCAA tourney than being ranked a little bit higher right now.

I'd go so far as to say I think we're moderately overrated.

Interesting. Why do you say that? I mean... we only have two losses and 19 wins. Our OOC wins aren't mind blowing, but I would put our conference wins up against anyone's. We are firmly in second place in the best conference in basketball and one of our two losses is to the #2 ranked team in the nation.

I am kinda fair weather in regards to college basketball, so am I missing something?
