Broadus looked good too, Nicco wasn't noticed as much other than the one play he blew up in the backfield early in the video. But Jones - man, we really need to gett hat kid in blue and gold. He could be an immediate impact player.
To me he stood out a lot more in the Servite game. He made some big hits in that game. Last night he looked really small out there. Bosco hasn't lost in a year so congrats to the all star team from BG
Yes, they beat California's current #1 all-star team who might be #3 after the JSerra and Mater Dei games.
Hard to throw a shot at BG for being an all star team when SJB can get kids from LA, OC and IE. The population of SJB's recruiting footprint is probably only exceeded by NYC.
.
SIAP, TP and Wildman better step your game up

But it is not hard to throw a shot at the distinct advantage Catholic/charter schools sports programs have in recruiting athletes to play for them. The eligibility rules for public schools require that the student/athlete's residence is within the school's zone, and transfers are monitored, and require the approval of a school district board. Any subsequent transfer still requires a joint physical relocation by the student and parents to another address. I know, there are built in criteria to circumvent these residency rules. Providing information that is widely separate from the truth, can/may still have its consequences.
BG is legit. Cant imagine playing for a HS like that.
As much as I question Nicco's physical ability to play top tier D1 football, I admire his attitude... and that flow, my god the kid has great hair.
Honey Badger v2.0. All the pint-sized ferocity, but (hopefully) none of the behavioral issues.
Fertitta, a Notre Dame commit, is undersized but plays with a reckless abandon anyway. He routinely lays big hits on receives over the middle and his quickness has everything to do with the impact. Players of limited size sometimes shy away from physicality but aggression and big hits have become Fertitta's calling card over the years. Fertitta is a full-fledged headhunter that almost seems to enjoy sacrificing his own body in the name of a jarring blow.

I hate to say this but that really worries me. ND has a history of shoulder injuries with their safeties and Nicco is already undersized.
Nico will be fun player to watch play, I have no doubt about that. However, he's more than likely not goig to be our starting SS or FS at any point in the near future. So, I wouldn't worry too much here.

Fertitta was the most intimidating defensive back in the region. Nobody had success throwing the ball over the middle against the future Notre Dame safety. He consistently made the big play when Gorman needed them, including a key sack and forced fumble against Bingham to preserve the perfect season. He forced a total of six turnovers and was a key veteran on the top ranked team in the country.
