If you're a coach that just wants to coach (like Reilly), then sure. If you're a coach that wants to win, you don't move on to Oregon State.

Yeah I agree. Just thinking out loud with the Jack A. rumor mill going.

Youngstown State (FCS – OH): Sources tell FootballScoop that Bo Pelini plans to accept the head coaching position at Youngstown State once it is formally offered. An announcement could come as early as tomorrow afternoon or Thursday we are told.

Michigan: Michigan has reached out to Les Miles’ agent tonight according to Sam Webb, who covers Michigan football. Combine this with a report today that they have reached out to David Cutcliffe and it sounds like Michigan is trying to kick their search into gear. For what it’s worth, sources close to Cut and Les we have spoken with do not expect significant talks with Michigan.

Was told tonight #Michigan officials offered David Cutcliffe their job but the #Duke coach turned it down. Times sure have changed.

Also have apparently contacted Les Miles. So they're currently through both Harbaughs and Cutcliffe and Mora at this point.

Apparently, their standing offer to Harbaugh is incredibly generous, and they're going to give him forever to decide, and he might still go there. But it seems he'd prefer to stay in the NFL if he got the right gig there.

Anyone else a little surprised Ed Orgeron hasn't gotten more attention this go-round?
Or is he waiting on the LSU job to open up...

Honestly, Jim is probably heading for the Bears. Given the situations, the Bears are definitely a more attractive destination. That team has way too much talent to be sitting at 5-8 right now. Harbaugh would be the guy to light a firecracker up their ass.

The problem is Harbaugh's schtick doesn't fly with millionaires.

Here is a littel tidbit of info re: Harbaugh & UM

According to sources I have spoken to this afternoon, the folks in Ann Arbor do not believe they are out on Harbaugh and are not prepared to move on to any sort of Plan B.
From what I have been told, U of M has lined up everything that Harbaugh’s people have requested to date including:
1) The money.
2) A say in the hiring of the permanent Athletic Director once Jim Hackett steps aside.
3) Administrative control.
4) Complete autonomy regarding disciplinary actions of players.
There has been no definitive response to U of M’s generous offer from the Harbaugh camp as of this writing which has led to a disagreement inside the Michigan Athletic Department. There is some internal debate regarding whether or not to give Harbaugh a deadline to make a decision.

Wow, they're setting themselves up a bit there if Ole Jim isn't as good a disciplinarian as they think.

I would say so. I don't think that's even completely possible. There are some issues that the university would have to deal with, this isn't the NFL.

thats almost like a step down facilities wise

The last two sentences of the Yahoo article.

The program is in need of funds for improvements and they could be provided in the way of donations by the Fertitta family. The family operates Station Casinos and Lorenzo Fertitta is the CEO of the UFC.

Holy. Shit.

That's out of the freaking blue........ remember when I said Anderson wouldn't be hard to get? I didn't think he'd be that easy either!

Addazio to Wisconsin....? Or Cryst from Pittsburgh?

Is Wisconsin really that bad? Or Alvarez?

On paper that looks like a downgrade. Something's up in Madison.

Those are the two candidates I see them pursuing. I thought Cryst has history there.

Being reported that Anderson was "frustrated' with academic hurdles getting kids in to school... now imagine how frustrated Kelly may or may not be...
