Chillin in my dad's sack for another 3 years. He was there so technically I was there.

I was driving to my sister-in-laws. It was a 3.5 hour drive but I got there in time to run downstairs and see the last 30 minutes. It was spectacular.

I was 4. I have vague memories of Notre Dame games from when I was little since everyone in my family are huge ND fans and would always put the games on. I've been told that since I was two I would be glued to the tv when ND was on, so i assume I was watching.

I was at the game. It was the second best game I ever attended. You can probably guess which game is #1 on my list.

I was four years old probably watching the game and not giving a fackkkkkkk. Probably playing with my tonka trucks and waiting for Batman to come on.

Cool story though about my dad and uncle Tim waited for everyone to leave the stadium and there was a gate that was open so they snuck into the stadium around midnight and slammed a couple beers at the 50 yard line. They have a couple photos of it and I will try to dig them up tonight and post them on here. He said to this day it was the coolest 10 minutes of his life and the greatest game he has still ever been too.

hey look we use to run the ball

Real talk though, I would love to wear those unis again right now. They were so fucking fresh compared to what they are now.

South end zone about row 40. Almost the identical seat I had for the '88 Miami game and the later Boston College disaster.

People in diapers during the game (other than dshans).

THE game was my first experience with Depends™.

Remote in my right hand, cooler of beer at my left hand; 27 inch JVC three feet in front of me.

The 20 foot walk to the WC might have me miss a meaningless analysis or (GASP!) replay.

So, yes, one could say I was in diapers at the time.

Quite the day. Quite the day.

The following week was a bit different.

I was there. 20 rows up, opposite end zone. Most spectacular game I have ever been at. Also had tickets to BC the next weekend but was unable to go due to work commitments. I blame myself for that loss. Still.

opposite end zone: if you have to ask, watch the game

I was watching the game from my father's...."pool". 2 years from birth, but I was rooting for my Irish hard.

I was in college as a freshman watching the game on the TV in the pool room in my dorm with my older brother. Best damn game I have ever watched, college or pro. Better than the championship against WV.

Sophomore at ND. The excitement on campus the week leading up to the game was palpable.

Can't believe it's been 21 years!

Thanks a lot for posting. I'd rep you if I could. I will watch the thing on Friday, but just watched the first 3 minutes and man, the crowd is live. This is the first game I've ever seen. I'm looking forward to rewatching.

Proof that the gold seats can stand. I don't know what happened but it's really bullsh*t that our stadium is that much quieter twenty years later.
