Hey guys we got the seminoles fans in my class nervous....lol i love every minute of it.

I already said it, but I have Facebook friends that atre nervous. Gene Williams told me before the season that FSU would crush ND. Him and others are not so cocky anymore.

Maquire is the backup qb, yeah? Williams is a RB and is pretty solid, but they also have a pair of young talented runners to replace him. I'd say Williams missing our game would be a fairly big deal.

Jimbo Fisher updates Matthew Thomas' status

During his Monday press conference, Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher updated the status of redshirt freshman linebacker Matthew Thomas, who is currently suspended indefinitely.

"As of right now we are thinking in another week he should be ready for Notre Dame," Fisher said.

Fisher clarified they are waiting on word from the NCAA.

"We've been working him in practice to get him ready," Fisher added.

Fisher asked what kind of impact his return would make.

"It isn't like he just walks in and changes everything," Fisher stated.

But he did add that he would be a welcomed addition on defense and special teams.

Florida State hosts Notre Dame on Oct. 18th.

You should be prepared to be heckled A LOT, but I don't think you'll have any real issues unless you are instigating it.

Thanks that sounds ok. Only true road game Ive been to was MSU and we didnt really have any problems there. Actualy the Canes fans at Soldier Field were worse. Im cool with heckling (part of being on road) I just dont want anyone spitting, throwing beer, or getting violent.

Given the crazy-difficult schedules the teams ranked above us play over the next few weeks, there's a decent chance we shoot up to #1 if we beat FSU

I was at the FSU v Miami game last year and from what I saw there wasn't any issues except for a few drunk Miami fans leaving the stadium who wanted to start shit.

We'd be #2. Winner of Auburn-Mississippi State would be #1, assuming they don't lose the week after.

I'd never had that problem. Being a instigator then maybe but no problem bob.

Good fans are good for business. Up here in Boise, they were talking about when Nevada beat BSU a few years ago to ruin their possible BCS bid. Nevada fans were brutal. Throwing beer at families with kids etc. Now a game that used to sell a lot of tickets to BSU fans sells less than half that amount. Word spreads fast.

I have been to FSU vs Miami and it was usually the Miami fans that were causing any shit. I have never seen a fan base that sucks so bad but will, in the drop of a hat talk shit. FSU fans seemed ok but it may be different in Tally.

FSU is blowing out Syracuse. You know their fans are going to try to act like FSU is better than ND because with a same opponent, how FSU won by a bigger margin and blah blah blah

I wouldn't call it "blowing out". Syracuse has driven the ball well on offense with a backup qb, and has gotten a nice push on defense.

Yeah but Cuse is missing Terrell Hunt, so that's a really invalid argument

From watching this game, I'd say that our defense and FSU's D are pretty comparable. Our D might even be better. Didn't think I'd be saying that before the season

Not impressed by their D. Think Syracuse got a push on them all day long. It's just a matter of if our OLine can get that push as well.

Bruce Feldman just mentioned that ND doesn't have to win at FSU in order to make the playoffs. He said if they lose close and finish 11-1, they will be in.

Darby went down but didn't look serious. Keep an eye on that though.

Totally agree. But, the meat of the schedule is coming up and the question marks are on the road.

Pretty high pucker factor.

Gameday's already announced they'll be there, as if there was any doubt. Interested to see if Darby's OK.
