Thanks PANDFAN. Tuesday pressers are a part of my routine during game week. Much appreciated.

This is the first game I'm going to miss the whole thing. I missed about half of the Michigan game. I'll be at Joshua Tree National Park for the weekend. At first my wife was planning the trip for FSU weekend but uh that wasn't happening. I'm hoping I don't have to worry about this one too much on my trip...

Hey is anybody going to this game im buying my bosses tickets and parking pass

FWIW, I was at the Stanford game on Saturday and had bought tickets ahead of time for face value.

2 hours before kickoff, there were people selling a pair for what I paid for one, and one pair for $30 a piece. Again, 2 hours before kickoff.

If you don't find tickets, I highly suggest going and walking around the stadium. I guarantee you'll find some and for a great deal, and won't have to wait until kickoff.

Edit: My bad, thought you were looking for tix.

No doubt the weather played a role in that though.

UNC will give us a little scare in the beginning. Then we will settle down and take control on both sides of the ball. Watched Marquise Williams a little and he is an athletic QB that can make plays in and out of the pocket. With the way the D has been playing though...watch out. Go Irish!

I usually go to a game or 2 a year i was just seeing if anyone else is going my boss sold me his tickets fairly cheap with his parking pass so I'm good there. I usually go to all of the pep rallies but the only one i made it to this year was the Michigan game 1. I was hoping to meet a few of you guys for drinks.

If they only score 31 I will consider it a huge disappointment.

UNC has an offense. I think ND holds them down but UNC will give ND defense fits at times. I am suspecting ND will hang 40+ on the board.

I am thinking 48-17.

Worse than a disappointment.

I'm not usually a believer in how much you score = how good you are but this weekend, they need to run it up a bit. 31 is not going to cut it and will give the talking heads fodder for their follies.

Would love to see something north of 55 while keeping them at or below 13.

Wonder if we Riggs in the slot and Butler outside to try and slow down Switzer....

This is a team that gave up 70 points to ECU. We should be scoring a lot in this one.

Looking forward to putting north of 40 on UNC. The Oline needs some more gelling and get the run game going. The D-I'd like to see another dominant performance. Shut down the running game with a few turnovers. I would not mind seeing a run-back on D, or better yet, a PR/KR. I've been yelling at the TV for the return all season long with zero results!

In fairness have you seen ECU play this year, it's not just UNC...

Pffft. ECU scored 70 on them. Due to the "Transitive Property of Team I'm Unfamiliar With", we should score at least 127. Anything less and Denbrock's seat should be officially hot.

Their scoring defense is ranked #124 in the FBS with allowing 42ppg. I didn't even know their were 124 teams total in the FBS

This game smells of 2012 BYU to me. That was sandwiched between Stanford at home and OU on the road in a huge night game. Replace OU with FSU, and we have similar scenarios. I don't think this will be as comfortable as most are tending to think.

There are some notable similarities based on where this game falls in our schedule. But BYU fielded a top-10 defense in 2012, and our offense that year wasn't exactly explosive.

Conversely, UNC's defense is hot trash, and our offense is the best Kelly has fielded thus far. UNC's offense may very well keep things uncomfortably close for a while with a few explosive plays, but I don't think the board's confidence in BvG's unit is unjustified. We should beat UNC by 3+ TDs.

North Carolina has not held opponents to fewer than 31 points all season. This is not a game I'm worried about.

You're using logic based on statistics, I'm using logic based on gut instinct. You win sir......

I wasn't looking for a win! Just to ease your mind a bit.

Over the last couple decades, the pessimists have been right much more often than the optimists. And UNC's offense is dangerous enough to make this a shoot-out if Golson, Riggs and our RBs continue with their butterfingers. But Vegas, the quantitative models and the my authoritative "eyeball test" all agree that this shouldn't be close.

I know it's hard, but we've got to get over this Battered Fan Syndrome and start enjoying the benefits of rooting for a genuinely excellent football team.
