Great question. Emphasize ball security and hope for the best.

Was on the road for the game...which is awful for this type of game, glass case of emotion!

Anyways...Criqui kept talking about EG's ball security and the lack of awareness when carrying the ball. You could tell he was almost annoyed with it.

I think UNC did pretty much everything right in this one. They utilized a dual-QB system prior to this, which has hampered the offense greatly. Yesterday, they kept with Williams, which was the right decision. UNC is also notorious for their slow starts and hitting their stride halfway through the season, just like last year. Combine them playing almost flawlessly, with our hapless mistakes, and that spells "upset".

Rewatching the game.

On the punt where we got the roughing the snapper call. The previous play when we were in punt formation and Martini was called for movement, the same guy blew up our long snapper even worse then on the one that got called a play later. It was pretty obvious and I think our long snapper even lobbied the official. No surprise that the refs were watching it pretty closely.

BK said in his post-game presser that the refs noticed it and notified BK if they saw it again they would call it. Which they did. I know a few posters thought it was soft, but they called because they missed it previously.

I have been a horrible member of this site due to trying to finish up one job and transfer to another but a quick observation after being at the game last week. there were some out of the norm missed tackles from schimdt, riggs, and jaylon that kept drives going. regardless of thoughts on Schmidt I feel all 3 are to good for that to happen 2 week in row, regardless of opponent. it was the kind of missed tackles that just happen bc of the parody that is college football not really anything other than that.

You are right. Kelly blamed it on part on tiredness due UNC running like 100 plays and ND being unable to sub those guys out.

5 fumbles by the UNC and Duke QBs in this game. I though only Golson turned the ball over.
