If he has a great season, ND makes the playoff and wins, by all means go. If not, imo he's coming back. Fyi, funny were discussing this already. Smh.

Idk if you guys saw on Bleacher Report (I know, I know), but he was listed as #5 by Matt Miller when asked to name the top 5 QB prospects for the '15 class.

That guy knocked Winston for playing The Citadel, but gushed about Kenny Hill crushing Lamar. Bleacher Report reeks.

^Great article / breakdown on Everett's Michigan game from a NFL draft guru / scout I really like.

Draftniks are overreacting a lot with his NFL future. This reminds me when Troy Smith and Tajh Boyd were projected as first rounders, two players in the same mold of Golson. While i think he is a legit Heisman contender, it is just too early to predict his NFL future.

I agree with you. But I also think Golson is a better thrower than either of those players. In just two games this year he has thrown some incredible passes. I don't think I've ever seen such a small guy with such a strong arm.

So I'm really pumped for this season based on what he has shown early, but it IS way too early to start projecting him as an NFL draft pick. Think what UM fans were saying about Gardner after the ND/UM game last year ... we made him look like a Heisman contender. I'm hoping UM didn't just do the same for Golson. Must reserve judgment till all the facts are in.

I agree they are overreacting, but I would take Golson over those two guys any day of the week.

Golson has a better arm than both Boyd and Smith. He has elite arm strength, but also has some touch (Dayne Crist's demise).

Ha true.

Crist could never have thrown that TD pass to Fuller in the corner of the end zone. Just no chance.

Yeah Smith could not make that pass to Brown that Everett did in the Oklahoma game. Golson is a better QB. Smith is one of the worst Heisman Trophy winners in recent history.

Also, Wilson hadn't just won a Super Bowl when teams were evaluating Smith and Boyd.

Wilson is better than Golson, but I do think this is a huge deal. Golson and Wilson have similar builds and playing styles.

Stating the obvious? Not sure anybody said he wasn't. This about projection. If he continues on the trajectory, which is completely plausible, what will it look like.

The other thing slightly hurting Golson stock wise is that he is playing in a spread where Wilson did play in a pro-style offense at Wisky

Slightly is fair but let's see what Kelly rolls out as he watches his young QB develop. He may throw in a few pro-style sets incorporating an H-back and longer drops.

We have no reason to do that since our offensive line was having some difficulty with blocking for even three step drops.

I think Kelly's spread is more transferable to the NFL than some other versions (Auburn) but I'm far from an expert so I'll let others chime in on what they see.

Whiskey, Boyd just got drafted this year (a few months after Wilson won the SB). Having said that Boyd doesn't have as strong of an arm as Golson and he played in an offense at Clemson that had him throw many screen passes and short routes.

Desmond Howard is a butt hurt toolbag.

Also, kudos to ESPN for misrepresenting the Michigan beatdown. ND took their foot off the gas midway through the 3rd quarter.

The shame and hate flowing through Desmond is so rewarding from last week. Punk is such a good look for him. He was just treading water looking exactly like the hater he is and I love it! 31-0, why is he even talking?

Lol I don't watch game day anymore what was he saying?

He made the dumbest point, that any college kid would choose to do what Golson did and get a free year vacation to San Diego to practice football. Says it shouldn't have been hard on him at all. Basically giving Golson the finger.

You think Golson would prefer to sit out a year and practice without his teammates? What a dumbass.

Lol that's sounds deliciously butthurt in writing alone.
