That's the whole problem with recruiting news these days-- an over-reliance on shady individuals who stalk underage male athletes. We need to get back to the methods that have withstood the test of time; namely, augury and haruspicy. Couldn't be any less accurate, right?

I wouldn't neg rep you, but I think Henry has more offers and visits under his belt already than Blake did at this point. He may have actually visited more schools already than Blake did in total.

Nothing is a given, and there are similarities, but I'm hoping Henry will have answered more of the necessary questions before pulling the trigger.

There is no such thing. Absolutely committed anymore means when they are on the field in South Bend. Leans, commitments, hard commitments, LOI, enrollment... they can change their mind at anytime. BUT statistically, it's not a bad thing to get a commitment regardless of when it comes. Most make it to campus, so take it when you can get it.

In regards to Barnett's fiasco... It was one of the least painful of all the real fiasco's that have happened. Names like Vanderdoes, Greenbury and Darby were much more impactful than his.

It's actual pretty common. Just because their parents doesn't mean that they operate with a higher level of understanding or intelligence. Many parents live vicariously through their kids achievements and they want that ride to continue. I'm not saying this is the case here but it happens all the time. I'm not saying that Barnett's father is the sole reason for his decommitment but his interactions in the recruitment didn't help.

I hope you are right, and we will know over the next several years. I have a feeling that he is going to do pretty well. I think the qb's we have and look good for getting will mitigate the loss though.
