Amped as you've ever been for Kickoff?

I think it's mostly the stupid academic investigation and how I think we pull through.

I think Golstonston becomes a real leader and we play with speed on the new turf.

I can't wait for us to be aggressive and knock idiots on their collective buttock es.


The fools we're playing are from Texas... and they're not that good.

I am amped.

First season in years I am not planning on attending a game in person. Should have a monster season!

Have a bunch of peoples I care for over for at least five of the home games; it's gonna be a party!

ND football could be exciting on both sides of the ball. Kelly used the term fearless to describe the attitude of his young team.

- Could be back to a Kelly offense for the first time in SB.

- This defense could be fun to watch, with more violently moving parts than a chainsaw, and a bunch of young talented kids filling the breach!

If ever in our lifetimes there is a ND team that starts its season with it's back to the wall, and the odds stacked against it; it is this year's team!

I was pretty ambivalent about the field turf at the beginning. Then I was a bit pro-turf, but enjoying the conversation. But when you look at the totality of the thing, from the fact that ND teams are playing so much faster that they score something like an average of eight points more a game and have a greater winning margin, also (better on both sides of the ball), to the fact that the kids love it, to the fact that it makes ND Stadium look like a wet dream, rock on!

I am neither the most nor least amped for this season. I am always excited for ND football at all times. Also, the argument that because of the four players being out is lame. There is always some bad situation coming into the season.

i purchased HD just so i could see how nice the new turf looks during the game...pretty pumped but do feel there are a lot of ?'s w/ the investigation and playing so many fresh/soph that i feel 50/50 on....i think i am just tempering my expectations because i drink the kool aid often and then when we play i realize i've been drinking waaaaay too much of it...so this year, just sipping it

This team has the potential to be identical to Kelly's '09 team at UC, just with more talent (albeit a much tougher schedule, as well).

Mobile QBs in place to run the show.

Deep, versatile pass-catching group.

Multiple running backs capable of wearing a defense down OR hitting big-chunk yardage.

Talented but young o-line,

Aggressive, athletic defense across the board.

Playcalling to match that athleticism = sacks and turnovers.



The offense will go 3-and-out very quickly at times, and the defense will give up yards and points. But if these guys buy in and get some confidence under their belts against Rice, then come out and punch Michigan in the mouth, then grow from that with a drubbing of Purdue, this team could have a much better season than most anticipate.

I think I was leaning towards the other threads camp yesterday until I woke up today. ND takes the field this Saturday! I can't not be excited. I know there always seems to be something happening that takes away from what we are all excited about, but don't let it take away from all the other kids that have worked their tails off to make ND a winner. Be excited that EG is back and ready to lead. Be excited that Jaylon Smith is on this team! Be excited for all the highs and lows of a young, athletic defense that is going to be aggressive and fun to watch. Maybe we will get the 4 back or maybe we won't, but don't lose sight of the others that will be on the field this Saturday and all that follow. Plus, we may have in the making the best OL ever assembled at ND with a very talented trio of RB's get after it. We will find out very soon what this years squad is all about!
