I have no idea of the exact timeline, but I'll bet 1,000,000 vbucks this change isn't a month old. I've kept an eye on Tillery on twitter, and hadn't noticed this until now.

But tell Fister to snapchat him to find out what's the delio.

Edit: I see it was noticed July 2nd. 1,000,000 mil on the way, but this is POST-Irish Invasion, FYI.

Agreed. I looked at it a week or two ago and it had a different pic and "god, country, Notre dame"

I want him in the class, but I also want a Plan B. Lord knows we need more O line depth

Geez, I'm not that old and even I know about the 1 eyed, 1 horned, flying purple people eater.

I know the original '58 song with Sheb Wooley, and I've unfortunately seen the 80s movie with Doogie Howser.

Would love to snag a DE/OT who can play both as a just-in-case. Thinking a Jarron Jones size type of recruit. Not that they grow on trees. Like a 3-star version of Jones would be more realistic.

This will be interesting. LSU, despite losing what like nine players to the draft last year including their starting QB, RB and WR x2 still has a great chance of going 10-2. Their schedule this year is very weak with avoiding GA and SC. Their only two loses I can see will be to AL and AUB. Wisconsin has no pulse if you take away the run and LSU always has excellent run defense. Ole miss at home and Tx A&M sans Johnny Football is a joke. As Rice last year.

So LSU at 10-2 rebuilding year vs NDs 8-4 or 9-3 with great promise in 2015? What has the biggest impact?

In latest Intel, Fertitta emphatically states that Tillery is going to be Irish. It's sure going to be interesting to see how this one ultimately plays.

I see him as being Irish. Every time he spends time with our prospects and visits campus I feel more confident. After the invasion camp. I felt confident and then him visiting Fertita lets me know that he has friends in the class.

The Tribune spoke with three high school seniors who have held the longest commitments to the Irish 2015 class – offensive lineman Jerry Tillery, Hoge, and safety Prentice McKinney.
Both Hoge and McKinney indicated that their commitments will remain unchanged regardless of the outcome.
“They’re individuals. I can’t judge a school by the individuals who committed the act,” Hoge said. “It’s not Notre Dame that’s cheating or committing this academic fraud, it’s those players. That’s how I look at it.”
Notre Dame’s recruiting class and recruiting targets will likely start hearing from opposing coaches and fans that will point to the reported transgressions as another example that Notre Dame sets a bar too high for its student-athletes.
That’s not a strategy that will impact McKinney, who committed to the Irish in March before visiting Notre Dame for the first time.
“I’m not the person that just quits on things,” McKinney said. “If it’s hard, eventually it pays off in the end.”
Tillery, who became Notre Dame’s first 2015 commitment back in June 2013, remains committed, but wants to learn more.
“Those are pretty key players for us,” Tillery said. “I don’t know. I haven’t gotten all the information yet. I’ll probably call (offensive line) coach (Harry) Hiestand in a few minutes to see what’s going on.”
The unknown ramifications of the reports leave Tillery in a wait-and-see-mode.
“It definitely has an effect,” Tillery said, “but I don’t know how it will affect me yet.”

Hoge, whose family already purchased a home in South Bend, committed to the Irish in September.
Tillery and Hoge have expressed plans to enroll early at Notre Dame in January.
“’I haven’t experienced how hard college is,” Hoge said, “but looking at it from my perspective, I look down upon cheating.”

Where's Jerry?

I know the joke is 7 ate 9, but clearly, 9 ate 7.

Sonny Shipp said he just needs to talk to one more source and he'll flip his CB to LSU

Hoping more comes out of Jerry's mouth after the Michigan game.

It's great that the other commits will put to rest and Jerry non-ND talk, but it'd be nice to hear it from the horses mouth.

As a lifelong White Sox fan... I hate that HE GONE has now also become a phrase to fear rather than one to celebrate when the enemy is grabbing some pine.

Not concerned, just hope that it happens soon. If LSU is such a great place then he should probably attend college there and stop wasting peoples time. From an OL recruiting standpoint this is not a need. We'll RS (most likely) two better OL than him this year and there are potentially 2 better than him in the 16' cycle with ND as the leader or darn close. I sincerely hope we don't spend too much time here, its better used other places.
