he can play all 5 spots...THAT'S WHY YOU DRAFTED HIM!!!!
NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Monday, per a source who has seen the deal, that the 'Boys have signed No. 16 overall pick Zack Martin to a four-year, $8.7 million contract with a $4.8 million signing bonus.
It's been a great opportunity for us to come here to the Rookie Symposium. Like many of the speakers have said, we may think we know everything, but we have so much more to learn. It really means a lot to hear from the players that have been there and recently done it...the message sticks a little more. The vets talking to us are taking time out of their day and their schedules to share their stories and experiences with us, and it's been awesome and made an impact.
The biggest thing that stood out to me was talking about having a plan. You never think you are going to be that guy who gets hurt or that guy who makes a foolish investment, and that's why it's important to make a plan before something like that happens. Take precautionary measures to guard yourself from those types of things.
We hit on so many different subjects, but one big thing is preparation and being a professional. We are coming from college where we have practice and meetings and class, but now this is our job. Many of the veterans have recommended that we find a veteran or two on our team that defines what it means to be a professional and then mimic them. It's definitely something I will be doing going forward.
I've been very lucky going to a spot where I play on an offensive line that is very close. They've been great with me so far. Also, center Travis Frederick, who was the first-round pick last year and has gone through everything I'm going through now, has been a great help also.

He's between an 89 & 81 on all discernible linemen ratings, yet he's an overall 78? Madden must be full of USC grads
Zack is looking very solid in camp, from Sports Illustrated:
Dallas Cowboys Training Camp Report: A Defense in Disarray | The MMQB with Peter King
Zack Martin, and there isn’t really a close second. We’re not seeing all-out run blocking in this setting but his pass protection is a joy to watch. He and right tackle Doug Free look to be in harmony when facing two rushers, passing off stunting opponents with aplomb. Watching Martin, it’s hard not to think of Jones’ admission of very nearly spending that first-round pick on quarterback Johnny Manziel. I’ve seen and heard enough to say with confidence that Martin will be the better pro.
"Don't surprise me none." Anybody who could protect our recent lead-footed QB has to be beyond good.
Kyle Van Noy (BYU), Shilique Calhoun (MSU), Leonard Williams (USC), Frank Clark (Michigan), Trent Murphy (Stanford), Darius Hamilton (Rutgers) and Charles Tapper (Oklahoma) combined for 101 TFLs and 47 sacks in 2013 … those seven players had a total of 5.0 TFLs and no sacks against graduate Martin
Gave up 5 TFLs, do not want.
Zack is not your regular rookie who’s coming in wide-eyed and not understanding. He feels like a fourth-year guy who knows the system. I’m shocked whenever he doesn’t do something right, schematically. You can do a lot of different things in front of him right before the snap and he still picks it up quick. We’re lucky to have him.
Stupid Giants are going to regret passing on him for the next few years.
