How come ND didn't allow transfers a few years back? Or did they and no one ever transferred to ND? The football program I was speaking for..

i think it had a lot to do w/ credits transferring in and being behind w/ them having the players graduate on time or faster

You would think UCLA credits would transfer unless he was in their special "UNC curriculum" for athletes. I have a former teammate who coaches at UCLA and they seem to be able to recruit anybody and everybody they want. Just heard Zach Levine on the radio and he sounds like he would have been flipping burgers if he couldn't jump. (NBA dunk contest winner over Wiggins this year...book it)

Too bad the Irish don't need him, bet he would be an easy get.

The local things I've read start with Fresno and SDSU. It's amazing how little quality choices you have in a state this size... throw in SJSU and you are done.

Per ISD intel, his bags are packed for ND. He sent his contact letter to one school, ND. Ball is in our court here with admissions and red tape. Per ISD.

Suck it Mora.

See, this would be great for future recruiting, to fill that hole that is Mora.

Seriously, when young kids see players transferring in, or trying to, and ND wins, the negative stuff means less, and less.

If a Cali kid is wanting to leave UCLA to head over a thousand miles East for school, then the only explanation is that he is really, really unhappy with UCLA over something. Right?

It's not like he was going to be buried on their depth chart.

Now if we can get his grandma to move within about 3 or 4 hours of South Bend, we can petition the NCAA to not have him sit out a year.

Dickerson (sigh) was expected to challenge Fitts for PT this year.

This is some eternal karma if it works out with Vanderdoes. God does love ND

I'm assuming that if this works out (and quick enough), he enrolls this year (sits it out), and then is eligible to play next year. Correct?

ND has taken football transfers in the past. It's simply that few qualify.

Consider that most schools don't have admissions standards as rigorous as ND's nor demand a Freshman workload equal to ND's First Year of Studies.

How many Kinesiology credits would you expect ND to accept from Michigan or Tennessee or from any of the other programs where football factories park their athletes?

In response of me leaving UCLA, I wanna let everyone know it's for personal reasons and nothing to do with depth or playing time issues...

If he comes, we should petition the NCAA. How could they not grant this when they granted eligibility to Vanderdoes?

I wonder what "personal issues" would cause a Cali kid to leave UCLA and go to ND. So confused, so happy. WHY?!!?

EDIT: ISD Intel suggests that religion is a major part of his life. Could have something to do with it.

From years ago, there was a rumor he did not like Vanderdoes at all going back to when they were both SC commits.

Fresno Bee reporter Robert Kuwada wrote that UCLA has granted Fresno State permission to contact Fitts. However, Kuwada also wrote that it's unknown just how many schools have received that permission to contact the former UCLA defensive lineman. According to 247sports.com, sources also indicate that Oregon has interest in Fitts.

If Fitts transfers to Oregon, Fresno State or SDSU, he would have to sit out 2014 and then would have three years of eligibility remaining. If he were to transfer to Montana State, an FCS school, he could play immediately

So it doesn't seem that ND was the only one

Montana State is interesting. They have a good team. My bro-in-law works there. He'd be ecstatic.
