IMO, he doesn't look comfortable on the football field, but I'm ok with that. Someone in the 2015 Master List compared him to GA3, and I see where they're coming from, but I disagree. To me, he's REALLY fast (ala GA3), but he seems to like contact, reads blockers and goes vertical. He also plays premiere competition (notice the BG highlights, there may even be a Nicco appearance).

If he can tighten up how he carries the ball and drop the shoulders, this kid strikes me as someone that could be special, especially in the spread.

He is really fast.

Won state titles in the 100 and 400m and finished second in the 200m last year.
Ran the 100 in 10.44.

Has run a 10:43 this year in the 100m and has a nation leading time in the 200m 20.91.

That was me.

Personally, I'm not a fan. It's great that he's fast, but I don't really care if my RB has straight line speed. I prefer quick, decisive cuts and power. Watch Saturday and you'll see Bryant and Folsont and how much different they run than this guy and GAIII.

I don't think he's as bad at cutting as GAIII, but that's immediately who popped into my mind. To add to that, he runs too tall and doesn't seem to be too powerful.

If it were up to me, I'd pass and I'll leave it at that.

He has a lot of shiftyness, he seems like a faster less poweful Bryant. Same running style. Very quick.

From the most recent 247 article I don't expect us to be a player at all in his recruitment

One thing that stood out to me was how he cuts. It's like his first cut always puts him in a good spot for a second or third cut. Doesn't seem to run himself into a bad spot if it can be helped.

Fifteen most explosive players in 2015 class

On the track, Lucas has few equals. As a sophomore, he posted the No. 11 time in the entire country in both the 100 (10.4) and 200 (20.99), winning state in both events as well as the 400 (47.48). He followed that up by making 105 carries for 1008 yards and 12 touchdowns, along with a punt and kick return for a touchdown last fall. His 6.34 60 meter during the spring indoor season was the No. 9 time in the country and his 21.34 200 was No. 3 in the country. During the outdoor season, Lucas won state in the long jump with a 24'4.5" mark, won state in the 400 while posting the No. 9 time in the country earlier this spring with a 46.86, posted the No. 5 time in the 200 with a 20.84, and won state in the 100 with a 10.42, good for No. 10 in the country. Just about all of those times are non-wind aided FAT. On the football field, Lucas is very elusive and is able to change direction without wasting any movement.

This kid is reedonkulous. He's Rocket fast. So smooth... doesn't look like he's trying. He toyed with big time opponents. A lot of people here ride Devonte Neal and Devon Allen's jocks but Lucas smoked both in the 100 as a youngster. I'd take DJ Foster over him as a pure football player but this guy is other worldly athletically.

I won't go as far as you but I think he'd be a really nice addition to this class. Too bad he doesn't seem very interested in ND. Maybe if put up big stats this year, his interest will be piqued.

What don't you agree with?
.

The superlatives you thrust upon him are often reserved for those players who come along once in a decade, if I understood you correctly. Rocket Ismail, Reggie Bush, Clowney, etc.

I think he's a part of a small group of really explosive players that define the upper tier of speedy players in every class. So I don't know that he's "otherworldly" but I do believe he'd be a lethal player in most spread offenses.

If that's what you meant, then I agree. I normally wouldn't call many players "redonkulous or otherworldly" but we may simply have different criteria for descriptions.

This is getting into the pedantic the further I type.

He's good. He's fast. He'd be a nice addition but we have higher priorities.

I was talking about him as an athlete and as an athlete he is everything I said and more. I said I'd take DJ Foster over him as a football player but any guy that is in the top 10 in his track times & wins a state title in 6 different events.... not in Wyoming mind you... Is otherworldly. I saw him twice last year and it was like watching Rocket... who I also saw play. Both had /have a track gear that was/is effortless and spectacular to see live.

Check their times and quit being fan boi's.

See them both in person... oh sorry, you weren't born yet to pull that off.
