Could be that the morning was hand timed and the Finals were laser-timed. I know that those finals were laser-timed, and I am not sure if the prelims were.

ND coaches told him to ease upon the finals. Didn't want his stock to climb too high.

When you run Sub 4.6 forty's its tough to get it right multiple times in a row. or in this case in the same day. the NFL combine is different, because those guys practice there starts and the techniques for months. 4.3 to a 4.5 is nothing more than a technique issue. like other posters have said...that shuttle is way more telling in my opinion, kids a serious athlete. period.

Finally got around to watching his junior highlights on Hudl. If you haven't done so yet, go treat yourself.

He has tremendous value as a WR and out of the backfield. Great balance. Only reason he is rated lowly is his size... he can flat out ball. Great change of direction, speed, balance, and power. He makes people who try to arm tackle look stupid, and breaks 10x more tackles in his film than Josh Adams who is huge, a RB, and playing lesser competition.

I don't know why I didn't watch his film before and why I wasn't more excited. CJ could dominate CFB at a number of positions. He has innate ability to do certain things that a lot of players can't do and you can't teach.

He's strong for his size which helps with that balance your speaking of. My only knock was I thought he was shade slower that the top tier slot WR's but I think that's wrong.

Loy posted that CJ and Shaun are tearing it up. That may be some homerism in there but it wouldn't surprise me.

Some of you may agree or disagree but I think this kid is a high 4 star top 10 wR in the country. Watching him today play kid is quick and everyone had a hard time keeping up, great hands as well.. May be starting a slot as a true freshman

Side note- I heard them say that C.J. played the Ray Charles as a boy in the movie "Ray". Just looked him up and he has appeared in a number of movies. That's neat. Sorry if I'm late to the party on this.

I agree - think this is spot on. Watching his film reminds me of watching Davonte Neal.

He's so gifted in space and it might be his awareness of where he and the defenders are on the field that makes him special. He has that ability to use the quick juke to throw defenders off and his change of direction is dynamic.

Excited to see him compliment the other receivers already on the team and in this class.

It's gonna be tough for him to play over both CJ Prosise and Amir Carlisle (that is, if Amir pans out in the slot. I expect big things as Amir should have some renewed confidence).

I'm more worried about him staying committed to ND at this point, but yes.

Look at you nit picking the details.

it's definitely not my strong point outside of work. but i mean you cant go saying some kid is gonna start as a true frosh then turn around and ask who else plays that position.

P.S. thanks for that donation the other week. Thanks to World Cup. It belongs to the vbookies now.

so you made a prediction without knowing who plays that position on the current roster?

As well as assuming what the roster will look like in August 2015 when/if Sanders enrolls. The WR positions in 2015 are stacked. Breaking out for a freshman will be difficult considering who is likely to be upperclassmen at that time.

Easy come easy go. Can't win if you aren't in the game.

When Tom asks if he is solid to ND, C.J. replies "Oh yes. 110%. When I went up to Notre Dame I felt like that was the place for me and that's not changing."
