Sorry to veer off topic, but I can't resist asking, why minus Luatua? Did I miss something with him?

His HS graduation was later than the others. BK said in the most recent video that he is reporting on Wednesday I believe.

Thanks bros. Need him to get ready to play fast. Only two blocking-capable TEs on the roster besides him.

I can virtually guarantee that MDMA isn't causing them to become violent.

So you wouldnt really know unless you seen it right cause i have.

You are both right and both wrong.

MDMA typically does not induce violent behavior. Crank, crack, methamphetamine and any number of other drugs that virtually all MDMA is cut with will. This is sometimes described as being "speedy E". Hell, I've heard of pills being sold as ecstasy that were actually just ketamine (horse tranquilizer) cut with methamphetamine.

Is it possible Will had something in his system? Certainly seems in the realm of possibility. But to squabble over MDMA making you violent is just silly and uninformed.

Either way let's try not to speak in generalizations.

Hopefully Will is in his right mind now to put one foot in front of the other in the right direction.

So in another thread someone stated will was suspended for the year. Is this fact? Is he off the team? Thanks.

I am not 100% sure, but I believe suspended indefinitely was the phrase used. That would at leat leave a little but of light to shine through the crack. Honestly though, I think he gone.

He's currently indefinitely suspended from everything pending the results of the criminal investigation, etc. I find it highly unlikely he's ever back based on the severity of his transgressions.

If he's suspended for the year he might as well transfer out. I mean that ND degree might be pretty vital right now but who knows what's going through his head or what's going down on campus. I'd like to see him play IMO and he could go to Miami (OH) with Martin and Co.

Depending on how the legal system plays out, he might not have a choice of any DI colleges and certainly won't have any choice to remain at Notre Dame if he's found guilty of what he's currently charged with. So transfer scenarios probably aren't worth discussing at this juncture until we know more about the serious aspects of his situation.

Misworded by me, he is indefinitely suspended but that should at least last the year. Beyond that idk.

It would appear that he can find a home at Oklahoma.

Seriously. There are plenty of people playing Division 1 football (and certainly in the NFL) accused - and sometimes convicted - of crimes far worse than what Mahone is alleged to have done. Also, the police report is ugly, but that's what happens when you assault the cops. Given that no one was actually hurt in this and it appears to be a one-time thing, I still have a hard time believing he'll have a felony conviction when it's through. And misdemeanor battery isn't a career-ending offense for a football player.

That said, he should certainly be suspended while the legal process plays out, and that may well mean all season. If he plays again after that is probably more up to him than anyone else. If Notre Dame does take a hard line and boot him he'll have transfer options.

Even if he had the choice to transfer out (which I doubt, he'll probably get expelled), I don't see the point in transferring. Unless he goes down a division, he won't be able to play. He might as well sit the year, finish his degree, and go play somewhere else his 5th year.

No one was hurt. No significant property damage.

Mahone said some ugly WORDS and made some threats that he was totally incapable of carrying out.

Police officer uses taser. Possible significant civil liability - money damages - if use of taser was excessive force. Prosecutor charges multiple felonies hoping case will plead out misdemeanor with agreement police department and city will not get sued? This is one possibility.

Mahone's conduct seems very erratic and tends to show Mahone for whatever reason was having a major meltdown.

Mahone's conduct, in my view, based on what I know, in no way merits multiple felony charges.

I would be EXTREMELY shocked if Mahone ends up with any felony conviction.

I posted earlier in this thread there is a need to step back and take time to figure out what happened and why. I think and I hope Notre Dame will take the time and effort to try to answer these questions and then decide what disciplinary action will be taken.

A) Police will throw the book in certain dv and unruly behavior cases to avoid any potential liability claims.

B) If Mahone gets expelled or released from his ND LOI contract, isn't he free to go where he chooses?

Prayers for Will! Hope he finds his way back, but I hope it's not at Notre Dame. The words he used and his conduct is not what people at Notre Dame expect! We are the first group of people to slam the SEC, myself included, for all their kids acting the way that they do, so I for one feel that I personally need to stay consistent! Again I hope he finds his way! Good luck Will!

Right, I think we need to know for sure what happened. I mean, we know what the allegations against him are, but we should keep in mind that they could be entirely false. I'm not saying I think they are (in fact, I doubt they are), but I hesitate to draw any conclusions until he is convicted of something or we become aware of corroborating evidence.

Not saying we can't talk about the different scenarios or possibilities. Just saying that firm judgments about where or whether Mahone will play college football again are premature at this point, imo.

1) excessive force? LOL
2) that has never been used as a bargaining tool, if a cop violated someone rights or used excessive force, there is no plea deal...
