The little lightning bolt in the top right indicates it's currently being charged. FWIW, this may very well be the most insightful analysis I've ever contributed to this board. I'm going back under my rock.

Ah. You're right. Very insightful. And responsible of Greg.

I always though abs were like God. We all know they're there, but you'll never get see them.

Then we signed Bryant. Thanks for making me a believer, now rush for 6,000 yards. Against UM. In the first quarter.

With that muscle-mass I 'm thinking there would be some difficulty in deep water. No matter...this guy is going to blow up this year!

Cam might avg 12 yds per carry in the fourth qtr this year after Greg pounds the pulp out front 7's for the first three qtrs!

Our gameplan against rice should be
1. Run right
2. Run left
3. Run up the middle

Michigan should see nothing!

Per EG via ESPN.

I asked Golson to pick a breakout candidate on offense.

“Really,” he said, “all of us are trying to break out.” But he eventually relented and settled on RB Greg Bryant, who played sparingly last year and then missed the rest of the season with an injury.

Sorry to get off topic but I want our offense to legitimately look like Kelly's at UC. I want to throw the ball at least 50-55 percent of the time. So that when we do run big plays will be open. I also want the routes that we run to attack the deepest parts of the field. Watch his offense back then it put up points in a hurry

I liked the offense when Gray and Wood were both healthy and focused and got the ball every other series. I think Folston and Bryant will look a lot like that.

The first time I see an open backfield on a third and one, I'm going to have to get a new TV because my foot is going through the old one. Kelly did that so many times last year I lost count.

That is who we hired as a coach and if he wants to open it up on 3rd and one with a mobile qb I am more than okay with that. In fact we can still run the ball on 3rd and one with an empty backfield.

There is a huge difference between 3rd and 1 empty backfield with Golson as opposed to Rees. I agree it was infuriating last year how much we saw that formation with a statue of a quarterback.

With Tommy, yeah it's pretty obvious what the offense was gonna do with an empty backfield on 3rd and 1.

With Golson, he can get the first down with his legs with an empty backfield on 3rd and 1

I agree with you and ryno and arrowryan that Golson CAN pick up a first and it won't be the same situation as last year. But, when you have a guy like Bryant at halfback, why would you run your quarterback into the teeth of the defense? Anyway, at least with Golson there would be the threat of the run. NOBODY thought Tommy was taking off.

The first time I see Cam in the backfield on 3rd and 1 I'm going to need a new TV. Yeah, he runs hard and looks composed when his helmet comes off mid-run but doesn't make anyone miss and and he doesn't run over anyone. Golson is going to make a huge difference on 3rd down this year...as he did two years ago.

Cam is extremely underrated and he's done nothing but run like a mad man. He isn't a Jerome Bettis and knocks people on their ass but he certainly doesn't go down on first contact. I'm surprised people still doubt Cam; I would not be mad one bit if he got the first hand off of the season this year

If the beast of the man at the top of the page can't get us a yard on 3rd and 1, something is wrong.

I enjoy beating USC so much. Wow, its crazy how much enjoyment I get out of watching that.

Its not about doubting Cam as much as it is trying to stay realistic. Sure, he is consistent and is one of those guys that's not great at anything but just good at football. It will eventually catch up with him and hopefully it catches up with him after ND. When you have guys like Folston and Bryant with Cam being able to come in and clean up, then you have a 3-headed monster. Kinda like the Giants used to have with Brandon Jacobs, Ahmad Bradshaw, and Derrick Ward.
