While I get what that tweet said, I think people are putting way to much stock into it. I believe Justin knew the reaction he would get when he tweeted that out. Maybe it does mean he's going to end up at OSU, but it could also believe he is trying to get Jashon Cornell and Damien Harris to visit ND with him.

Crossing my fingers that he ultimately chooses the Irish. Would be another great addition to those already on board.

Would love to see him cancel his Saturday plans on Friday night if you know what I mean.

Need to throw the most bumpin party in the history of Notre Dame on Friday.

Is he staying the night at ND Friday or just visiting for the camp and leaving?

I saw on 247 he's staying the night at OSU Saturday but it didn't specify for ND.

That's the best way to go about all recruiting and every season.
I would definitely agree on the recruiting aspect of this always. Right now I have zero expectations for the season, but as it gets closer and closer my expectations will go up. Thats how I have always been. In August my glasses are rose colored, and my kool aid is green.

The way I see it. I made my prediction a while ago that if he shows up to II, he's Irish. Live and die by that. No going back now. I just think people are reading too much into the whole "package deal" rumor. Way I see it, he's not going to commit on spot, so that evens things out moreso and allows him to reflect on the ND and OSU experience and make a rational decision there. Seems like mom is pro-OSU (surprising indeed) and dad is pushing ND, at least from what I've read.

That being said, looking at the LB prospects, ND would still be in very good shape. This would be someone we really really wanted, but not necessarily needed. Now if guys like Bilal or Baker weren't seriously considering ND, then I'd panic if Hilliard ended up in Columbus.

Very realistic chance he's Irish, and I have to say that I'm sticking with the argument that he is a perfect fit for Notre Dame, which is why I'm predicting he'll be in South Bend in 2015.

He said that he and his dad will be at ND Friday and then his dad is dropping him off Saturday at Osu.

Maybe it's just a short trip to inform ND coaches in person that he wants to play with Chris Clark at osu :(

If the itinerary is accurate, he is committing to one staff and thanking the other, IMO.

Need to throw the most bumpin party in the history of Notre Dame on Friday.

Serious question, and at risk of maybe sounding like a dumbass:

When a recruit is a guy that can be impressed by the social scene, is there any type of "organized effort" to make sure there is something fun going on when it "just so happens what a coincidence!" that a big recruit is in town for an evening?

So I was optimistic til I saw this as a reply to Hilliard's tweet:

yna8a6yz.jpg

Harris using the same emoji as Hilliard. Now I'm convinced that they're all in on the joke and it'll be OSU for Hilliard. Damn.

I am probably in the minority but I take Hilliard's tweet to mean he wants to bring the other players with him to his choice of school. Most of those players are already either OSU leans or they are very high on them but not so much ND. It wouldn't be considered taking them with him if he picks OSU. But he may not have picked those words intentionally and it may not mean anything.

Elijah Hood was at a party at my place the weekend before he committed. Must have been a better one at UNC :( sorry guys

In a roundabout way yes. Unbeknownst to the recruit, coaches pair certain players that fit the recruit. If.you're a laid back person you get someone who hangs at the dorms plays video games etc ... If the recruit is outgoing, has stated in the past campus life is important, blah blah blah, then you're going to be matched with someone who can provide you with that atmosphere

Coaches pick up this information discreetly through conversations, in home visits, known friends on the team, players on the team from your state - hs - etc, and they monitor for the most part what recruits say in interviews social media

Tomorrow's Columbus's pride parade, and 300,000 plus are atending. Pretty crazy day to visit.

Tough to believe that somebody would come into town, tell the staff he isn't coming, then spend the night.

Have to think ND is leading, or he really doesn't know yet and is conflicted.
