Playing Corner and returning kicks- ISD

It seems the staff is taking a different angle in recruiting(Michigan State). Me likey
I looooooooove this kid. 5-10 years ago he's the kind of kid Tressel would have scooped up before anyone knew who he was. Then 2 or 3 years later the kid is starting and an All-Big 10 player. Love this kid and love that ND is starting to really hit Ohio hard, with success.
Coach D quote:
Guys we just got done with spring evaluations, where the staff was out in full force scouting and recruiting like crazy. They have seen quite a bit over the last few months between film and in person visits. If they are accepting commitments its because they like what they see from what's available.
frustration that some of you are experiencing. This is a solid base of a class. You can pick up solid puzzle piece now and wait out the 4
and 5
commits who are taking their time. Compare our class right now with the FSU class with FSU coming off of a national championship. 8 of their 12 commits are 3
players.tj, honest question. With so few scholarships to give out seems strange that we would take his commitment at this point with ND being involved with other top CB. Are we loading up on DB's? Or is Coleman this good? Does this means no Crawford?
Honest answers...
We're now almost assuredly going to get to 20 spots plus. This new revised plan puts an emphasis this cycle on DL and DB, and then offensive Skill Athletes, namely RB and WR. We'll "overload" the first two positions if possible with guys the staff really likes, whether "ready-made" players and/or more developmental upside prospects they believe have high ceilings. That's what is going on here now.
They love Coleman as described elsewhere in my posts. So no, not strange at all.
Yes to trying to "load up."
They think he's that good potentially.
No relation to Crawford. He still should pop soon.
Not to take away from this commitment, but wanted to add this:
So many recruits/commits this cycle have mentioned Zaire as a guy they've bonded with on visits. Great to see for the future.
Per TJ,
A quick add-on comment on Coleman: BVG didn't get a chance to watch his videos until fairly recently, while on the road nationally for spring evals, but once he did, he asked why we hadn't been pursuing him with an offer already much earlier. Really likes this kid as a man CB with outstanding athleticism, movement skills, competitiveness and natural CB instincts. Offensive staff also really likes him as a SlotWR/APB prospect, too. Coach Booker loves his STs potential. Sums it up.
What changed to where we are now "assuredly going to get to 20 spots plus"? Is KVR expected to bolt after the season or something? I haven't heard of anyone who is seriously injured or considering transferring right now.

Is this the mystery commit?
