Any idea as to which QB the staff prefers at this point?

I think it spells trouble that OSU is there and they aren't even pushing for him. They talk a lot, but they haven't put the pressure on him yet. Once they officially strike out on Gibson, hey could go after Waller and probably get him regardless of what his situation is at the time. t
There is a chance that they simply settle for Burrow if they don't get Gibson, but we all know it wouldn't be ND recruiting if there aren't all of the obstacles.

This does not make me feel confident he will be at Alabama soon and not coming to ND until the end of the month. Then he will make a choice a week later I don't know about this. It would have been ideal to get him on campus for II.

I like when Notre Dame gets the last visit and the staff gets the final word
Yes, but I am just a fan I am not on the coaching staff they know what they are doing.

Is his top 4 assuming Blake goes to Oregon?
What if Blake goes to Bama.
My take... maybe Waller gave Bama enough confidence to pass on Dormandy. I was expecting Dormandy to commit yesterday to UA. Now he is at UT. Still... I don't think Waller would fit our system as a full time QB. Would still be a little surprised I d if Waller does choose my Tide.

Agreed. I think the fact that he is a west coast kid plays in your favor though, he may not be prepared for just how big of a deal Alabama football is, and he'll get swept up in the moment.
Either way, you are about to get 11 to 13 more wins with Coker, so no sweat!
Is this common consensus amongst Tide fans? That a kid couldn't possible choose UT over playing for UA, so he must have been passed on? Interesting take. I agree wholeheartedly with the latter part of this post- Waller would NOT be a fit for full-time QB duties.
Those that follow recruiting fairly close were expecting a Dormandy commit yesterday - including me. The average fan who doesn't follow recruiting would not believe someone could choose UT over Bama however.
So you're thinking the most likely scenario here is that UA thinks they could land Waller if they wanted to at this point?
I wanted to tell you guys you were all overreacting...
I think UA can land pretty much anyone they want.
Aspiring high school quarterbacks are attending retreat camps run by passing gurus such as Steve Clarkson. I wonder if their expert tutelage extends beyond the mechanics of throwing a football, and that their influential advise includes the choice of a college program that fits their students skill sets, academic personality, and NFL aspirations. Most recently, Travis Waller attended a Clarkson camp at the end of May, along with Brady White, K J Costello, and Shea Patterson.
I was just noticing that same thing among the CB's
