I'm not sure if I should excited or upset, haha. Sean Lee is a helluva LB that never stays healthy.

Lee was heard to be muttering as he left the field "We're talking about practice man. We're talking about practice. We're talking about practice. We're not talking about the game. We're talking about practice."

I don't think Zack would take him to the ground on purpose unless he was instructed that it was OK to do so.

I heard about someone gettin hurt in practicve once, a few years ago. It just hurts to hear one of our players being involved in it this time around. What is football coming to?

I echo the well thought out comments of Auston Stephan, and the highly objective analysis of Sean Lee-- the rare pro athlete that has never missed any games (except for 18) with an injury.

Some players get personal on the practice field, and end up injuring their team mates. Those guys are assholes. Zack Martin is not an asshole; I can't recall reading about any practice-related injuries allegedly caused by Zack.

That, combined with Lee's injury history, makes this is a nonevent.

Sean Lee of Dallas Cowboys injured during OTAs - ESPN Dallas

"I don't really know what happened," said Martin, the Cowboys' first-round pick. "Two guys playing hard, running to the ball. We'll see what happens ... Hope for the best. He's obviously a great player, leader of the defense."

That's a Dallas fan for you! Blame the rookie for trying hard in practice when your team hasn't won a playoff game in like ten years. Besides, isn't it the rookies that are supposed to be getting manhandled...not the vets?

Watching the video over at Dallascowboys.com. He wasn't being too aggressive or anything like that. For as good as Sean Lee is, he's a huge Pu$$y.

The Cowboys have been soft. Zach Martin is exactly what they need. Sucks for Lee, but it is what it is.

isn't Lee the same guy that got absolutely lit up it by Golden Tate?

That dude has to hate Notre Dame. I hope there isn't discipline for Martin.

The Cowboys’ chief concern right now is the health of linebacker Sean Lee, who suffered a knee injury at today’s Organized Team Activities. But the Cowboys also need to be concerned about what the league and the NFL Players Association have to say about the circumstances that led to Lee’s injury.

Specifically, the Cowboys could face discipline for the fact that rookie offensive lineman Zack Martin was blocking Lee and ended up on the ground on top of him on the play on which Lee suffered his knee injury. OTAs are supposed to be non-contact, and Martin and Lee clearly engaged with each other on the play, although Lee looked like he was trying to plant his feet and shift directions before he engaged with Martin, so his knee injury may have happened without contact.

Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said afterward that he has given proper instruction to his players about the rules on OTAs.

“We keep preaching, ‘Stay off the ground. Stay off the ground,’” Garrett said, via the Dallas Morning News. “That’s a really important thing. Injuries happen when guys hit the ground.”

Martin said he was disappointed to see Lee get hurt.

“I don’t really know what happened, two guys playing hard and running to the ball, so we’ll see what happens,” Martin said. “It sucks to see someone go down. It happens and I can only hope for the best.”

Right now, the severity of Lee’s injury isn’t known. But the Cowboys are fearing the worst.

It looks to me from the video posted that he was already falling and Zack fell on him as a result. Anyway, one thing that stood out was the response to the other players right after. It seemed like they knew something was really wrong.

From the looks of the video, I would have imagined it was Lee's right knee that was injured, not his left.

Lee was trying to either stop on a dime and make a cut behind Zack's block and/or his knee gave way before the hit. Either way, I don't think you can blame Zack although I'm sure he'll get some looks for defensive guys for the next week or so.

A torn right ACL cost Lee his senior year at Penn State and he partially tore his left ACL in 2009, which is the only reason the Cowboys could grab a guy with his talent -- 10th on their board -- in the second round.

A hamstring injury cost Lee two games as a rookie in 2010. A dislocated wrist made him miss a game in 2011 and forced him to play much of the year with a cast.
Sean Lee injured his left knee during the Cowboys' first organized team activity workout Tuesday.
Toe surgery took him off the field for 10 games in 2012, and a strained hamstring and sprained neck forced him to miss a total of five games last season.

Now, we can add another injury to the list.
