Incredible how it's so different without John Williams right?

Weird cause I'm gonna go see Spiderman today. I'm hoping I can find a way to watch The Empire Strikes Back.

It really does I think. The John Williams touch goes a long way from making the movie an epic as oppose to another 70s/80s cheesy space flick. It's also weird to see the original trailer when you consider how much was changed and polished with the re-release of the movies on VHS in the 90s and then later on DVD. The grainy footage almost makes it look like a whole different movie. I wish I had copies of the original movies, unedited. Han shot first!

King's Row was a 1942 film w/Ronald Regan
Williams apparently ripped it off to make the SW theme. :(

Williams is well known for having ripped off Wagner quite a bit.
So did Korngold.

Makes sense that they've composed some similar music.

Meh, they both sound like the climax in Pines of Rome to me anyway. Artist borrow, as long as they make a reasonable effort to differentiate their work I'm cool with it.

Sweet Bejeezus! With all the sampling and autotune shit flying about today, there's going to be a battle of the bands in regard to movie scores?

Hell, there were parts of "King's Row" that sounded a whole lot like a phrase from "America the Beautiful." Which came first?

The chicken or the egg? The eight note scale?
