ISD Freebie: 2015 CA QB Talks Irish Interest
Brady White is in contact with Notre Dame on a weekly basis and the Irish have made it clear they are aware of the 2015 California quarterback, want him to stay in contact with them and will be watching him closely moving forward.

“I know they’re an awesome program and they have big things going on,” said the 6-foot-2, 195-pounder from Hart High School in Newhall, Calif. “They just had a tough loss against Michigan, but that’s a great team. They’ve got a bright future and I’ve been a fan of Notre Dame ever since I was a little kid.

“My grandparents took our whole family to Notre Dame on a trip a couple years ago. I wasn’t a recruit then, but it was an awesome experience to visit the campus. It was a beautiful campus and the atmosphere of the game was amazing.”

He’s already made visits to Cal, UCLA, Stanford, Oregon, Oregon State, Washington, Oklahoma State and Northwestern. White would love to get back and Notre Dame would love to have him back, explaining that the experience is completely different as a recruit than as a fan.

White was named the U.S. Army All-American Bowl High School Player of the Week after throwing for 490 yards and seven touchdowns in a 55-54 win over Chaminade earlier this month. White completed 36 of his 53 pass attempts and his seven touchdown tosses tied a school-record set by former NFL quarterback Kyle Boller.

White landed his first scholarship offer, from San Jose State, during the spring.

“It was very exciting for me,” he said. “I was really stoked to hear about it. I hadn’t had any contact with them beforehand, but they showed up to one of our passing tournaments and at the end of the night, they offered me a scholarship.”

It’s an offer he’s proud of.

“I think people think it’s not that big of a school or not a big powerhouse for football, but in reality, they’re a great team and their coaching staff is going to do great things with that team and continue to build on it,” he said. “It’s a decent offer. Obviously it’s not Alabama where people see it or hear it and are blown away, but it’s actually a solid offer. I was very appreciative of it.”

He’s also been getting a ton of interest from several schools across the country.

“I’ve been getting a lot of interest from Oklahoma State, Oregon, Oregon State, Washington, Vanderbilt, Northwestern, Tennessee, Penn State, Cal and Stanford,” he said. “I’ve been talking with a bunch of the coaches on a regular daily basis.

“Although I only have the one offer, I feel like I’m building good relationships with the coaching staffs. Hopefully after the season or during the season, offers will start coming in. I’m just working hard this season, looking to put my best foot forward and showing everyone what I’m all about.”

Hart was clocked at 4.68 in the 40-yard dash at Oklahoma State’s camp this summer and seems himself as a versatile quarterback.

“I’m listed as a pocket passer and I do like to air it out, but I can get it done on the ground too when it’s needed,” he said. “I’m not looking to run first, I’m looking to distribute the ball and read the defense. I’ll take what the defense gives me. As for systems, I feel like I could do shotgun or under-center equally as well. Whatever system I’m thrown into in college, I feel like I’ll strive in and succeed in.”

He’ll be basing his ultimate decision on a variety of factors.

“What I’m looking for in a school is obviously a great academic program because if football doesn’t work out, I want to have a degree and academics to fall back on to be successful in life,” he said. “I’m looking for a great program where I have a great bond and relationship with the coaches and where they’re going to put me in successful positions and where they know I’ll fit into their system perfectly to help lead their team to victories and championships.

“Also, just a great environment with the school, where I’m comfortable and where people will welcome me. My family will help me with that decision. It’ll be a fun process.”

Ranking Cali QBs... I'd most like to have:

1. Dillman - just ridiculous upside with his dual-threat ability.
2. Rosen - prettiest ball ever.
3. Town - I'm not as in love with him as everyone else, but he will dominate at Bama most likely.
4. White - Seems like a really, really solid prospect with great body control and above average athleticism... probably not the complete package of the other guys.

I'd like to take 1 of those 4 + a local-ish kid like Beneventi or Morgan. It's crazy when you consider that there are also elite prospects like Gibson, etc. out there too... the 2015 QB class is absolutely stacked. CANNOT afford to miss. In fact, we should aim to take 2.

Ideally I'd like to take Gibson and somebody else. White, Dillman, Rosen, Morgan etc. That way if Gibson doesn't develop and gets moved to WR, we still have a solid QB in the class. I think Gibson has the most upside but is very raw. However, convincing two QB's to come in the same year is never easy especially of that quality.

Sounds like Oregon is making him their top priority and probably have the edge early from a 247 article after his visit

lol where was Barnett on this list??

Funny looking back... this was a month before Barnett had his first offer or had put out any film whatsoever. Dillman's junior film also came out WORSE than his soph film... which was ridiculous to see happen. I mean seriously... who the hell takes a step back soph to junior year? Anyone ever? Oh how things change...

Yeah you never see that in high school. Happens in college sometimes.

I was just gonna ask if you were changing your tune now. This hopefully means they give up on Barnett

Committed to Arizona State.

Good pressure recruiting by them. They turned up the heat once Oregon offered. Will be interesting to see if Oregon pushes for Waller now.

ASU got a hell of a QB though. White is a stud. Def needs some weight, but I was very high on him when ND was recruiting him, and then Barnett happened lol.

Two side notes

1. Brady Whites mom is a 10.

2. I have a feeling the Barnett press is in full effect from Oregons side.

Any real worry?

I haven't seen anything other than solid status to ND from him.

White's HS nickname is the Indians, surprizing in this day in age the name is still used!

You know better than to post something like that without evidence.

Is that his mom or his prom date?

Ah hell, I don't care either way.

I'm going to assume it is the mom because she is facing the dad in the picture, which would be weird, and because she is wearing the international symbol of the trophy wife on her ring finger. I'm assuming Brady's dad is absolutely loaded. lol

On October 18th, Chief Osceola(on a Appaloosa horse named Renegade) will plant a flaming lance to start a college football game. And Florida State students, some with warpaint on their faces, will gleefully shout their approval of this minstrel show. This Sunday afternoon, the profile of Chief Black Hawk will be proudly displayed on the jerseys of Chicago players and fans alike. There are 62 high school football teams with the nickname Redskins. Most of these schools can be found in three states - Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio. Osceola, until his capture by deception, resisted being removed from Florida. The same goes for Black Hawk's efforts to remain in Illinois. Varying degrees of offensiveness are in the eyes of the beholder. Personally, I'd rather be an Indian than a cowboy. Even if the only good Indians were dead ones!

Film-wise, White is probably my favorite option at QB going forward that I've seen.
