There have been a few times that I've seen fun rivalry stuff but haven't posted because there wasn't a good place for it. Today I saw two more and didn't know where to put them so screw it I'm starting a thread.

Use this thread for any entertaining shit-talk, shade (especially from official twitter accounts), or pranks.

Carry on.

Not hardcore, but as a UC supporter I enjoy any slight towards pOSU:

This is really old but it's still the funniest college football picture to me

Recent, but funny.

Harvard_poster.jpg

During the 2004 Yale-Harvard football game, a group of Yale students posed as the non-existent "Harvard Pep Squad" by wearing custom-designed T-shirts, painting their faces and toting fake student IDs. They convinced the opposing cheering section to hold up colored placards to create a mosaic that supposedly displayed, "GO HARVARD." In fact, the letters spelled "WE SUCK."

Many Harvardites didn't even know they were pranked. The hoax organizers started a website that touts a video, pictures and an online store that sells shirts and posters. Alas, the best pranks usually deflate such arrogance ... if only Harvard retaliated. In spite of its gratuitous message and arrogant PR policy, the "Harvard sucks" prank should be commended for its creative execution and as a bold effort in today's hypersensitive, lawsuit-ridden era.

This one is hilarious.

Gabe-Pruitt-Prank.jpg

In 2006, students at U.C. Berkeley took college pranks to the next level, using an online dating service to get into the head of an opponent. After setting up a fake profile for a fictitious UCLA coed named Victoria, they managed to catch the attention of USC’s basketball player, Gabe Pruitt. Pruitt fell for the ruse, and agreed to meet up with “Victoria” after his return from Berkley. However, during the game, Brekeley students began taunting Pruitt by chanting his fictitious girl friend’s name and repeating his phone number. The prank seemed to work. Pruitt underperformed, and Berkeley went on to win.

Someone maybe can find the tweet but I remember after KU lost to Stanford in the Tourney, the Mizzou Twitter account tweeted congrats to Stanford on the win or something like that

Subtle but a nice jab

What can I say, your mom likes it in the two-hole. I'm not going to deny her that pleasure.

Yeah, but do you have to crawl all the way up there inside her rectum and swim around?

He said you smell like rectum . . .

Why 'Baylor sucks' is a big problem for Texas | FOX Sports on MSN

"Baylor sucks," Edmond told reporters after Saturday's spring game. "I don't understand how we lost to Baylor. The defense was playing good but the offense just wasn't scoring. Any team can get beat if the offense isn't scoring and the defense shuts the other team down. Eventually you're going to give up a point or something."

He was not finished.

"Even though I didn't get a chance to play in the Baylor game, I really feel like we should have beat Baylor. I really don't like Baylor. I still think they're trash," he said.

He kept it going.

"I'm mad as I can be. I knew we were a better team than they were," he said. "Baylor gets the win and acts like they had never won before. Even in high school, you know how to react when you win a game. It's not like you never won a game. I'm like, 'They won it, so what?' They still suck to me."

Basically, UK's OC Neil Brown made comments today. He called UK "the commonwealth's team" and so on. The tweet is from Louisville's OC

With the team UK basketball has coming back, they'll be lucky if the local news covers them. Stoops seems like a solid guy, and I want someone to knock LSU, Bama and UF off their game, but I just don't see it here.

How about the time when a Missouri wide receiver flew Quantrill's flag in their locker room before a game? Quantrill was the pro-slave fighter who burned Lawrence, Kansas to the ground (killing about 200) during the Bleeding Kansas era.

Missouri's T.J. Moe wants Border War to continue | KUsports.com

Yeah...that rivalry goes back to the fact that Missouri was a slave state and Kansas wasn't.

Back in the 70's and 80's during football season, Cal and Stanford used to pull some great pranks on each other. It usually involved the visiting team doing something to the others field.

Which opponent has each power school played the most in history?

Did you know that Auburn has played Georgia 40 more times than it’s faced Alabama? Or that USC has played Cal 19 times more than it’s squared off with UCLA?

Just because schools are big time rivals, playing for bragging rights and hardware, doesn’t mean they share the most history.

The following list identifies each Power school’s most-frequent opponent all-time. Not only do the results illustrate the effects of conference realignment, they remind us that we love a sport with a long, storied past.
