After seeing that he committed to Ole Miss I was going to ask if they have an amazing recruiter, someone like Tosh Lupoi. I guess we found out the best recruiter of all, Benjamin Franklin!

Lol this made me so happy to see. No idea why. Maybe I'm hoping he/OleMiss get grilled on it.

They wont. Anyone involved will be 3-5 years gone and it wont do anything but punish kids who had nothing to do with it.

Auburn
USC (they literally had Bush's signature on credit card receipts in an Agent's name).
Oregon
Miami (seems to be very egregious things over a long period)
..........

I watched the recent ESPN movie on Sylvester Croom story. He tried to clean up Miss. St. and made everyone stop taking money. They gave him a few years and then booted him. I don't know if he was a bad coach or could not get players after that but he beat Alabama twice ( who passed him over for Shula).
Anyway I don't think it is gonna change.

I am disappointed. If you're going to post a picture of yourself with some money, at least make it a large amount. What's in that picture, $400 or $500? Straight weak sauce IMO...

Odd stuff by Treadwell to post any money, even if it's only about $300. A more braggadocio posting by him was him being kissed by two Ole Miss beauties, saying that this is the best place he's ever been. Things about his recruitment, and Ole Miss' "style" of doing it, aren't very mysterious. Also this guy Freize was a protege of Ed Orgeron and gives EO credit openly for training him up as a recruiter.

As to Ole Miss' class in general: the big stars seem to be there or on the way, but I noticed a roster management hole --- you know me so you can guess --- two Olinemen. [admittedly a JUCO center is signing on along with about six other JUCOs or "walk-ons" to flex up the rules].

I wouldn't even classify that as training. How difficult is it to tell someone to pay the kids and surround them with girls?

Residual unsniffed cocaine. With a side of crack pipe maybe? They didn't get the meth lab in the pic. Or the dead ho*kers in the background

Quote from Hugh Freeze in Sporting News on how they landed Treadwell....

-__-

— WR Laquon Treadwell: “A year ago, we had the foresight and vision to sign Laquon’s best friend, Anthony Standifer,” Freeze said. “He had nowhere to go and we had a scholarship, and he fit what we wanted in a player. I told our guys then, this may help us down the road with Laquon. Sure enough, Anthony was a big factor.”

Ole Miss no longer a punchline; Hugh Freeze makes sure of it - NCAA Football - Sporting News

Haha just looked at his stats and saw he was 1-4 passing with 1 INT. Maybe they should take that trick play out of the playbook.

But ya, kid's a beast. Can't see how he isn't a 1st rounder in 2 years.

Looked pretty impressive beating up those small corners. Not very impressive QB slinging to him though, he will have to fight for quite a few more than he should this year.

I thought he would abuse Boise a bit more than he did, but Boise's corners weren't chumps and they locked him up in double coverage most of the night.

Also, Bo Wallace doesn't help, as referenced above.

Word is he broke his leg on the almost TD that would've given Ole Miss the lead late but instead it was a fumble in the end zone.

During the broadcast ESPN used the word "gruesome." Hope he bounces back. No guarantees from Ole Miss in the education/scholarship dept.

the sad thing is when this happens to an ND student-athlete, they have their degree to fall back on. But when this happens to some fatherless phenom w/ learning disabilities at an SEC school?...not so lucky. Good luck young man...you're going to need it.

To add insult to injury, it sure looked like he got smoked on a helmet-to-helmet hit in the end zone.

Well, luckily if he's ultimately unable to play further, the SEC has demonstrated liberal use of medical scholarships. It'll be a tough road if he can no longer service the football goal of the university, but at least he probably won't wind up in debt if he wants to finish his degree.
