I think TP was comparing related points in their college career. Not that MZ is better now. I think.

Let's just put it this way. This offense can be SCARY good with either Malik or Golson at the helm.

He was comparing them relative to where they are in their collegiate career, not who is better now.

Agree with most of what you said, but you're exaggerating how much better Malik is of a runner than Golson. Malik isn't Vick, and Golson is a very good runner himself.

In making reads, playing in a more sophisticated offense, knowing what throws to make I would imagine. I mean, that was what was clear, within the context of the conversation.
(I always smile when someone wants to jump on the thing that wouldn't make sense, as the thing that would be said.)
Braxton Miller is light years ahead of Zaire. Nick Marshall was the leader on one of the top offenses in the country. His throwing is inconsistent but Marshall and Miller would smoke Zaire in a race. I'm just really confused on the comparison.
What's next we would take Golson over Braxton Miller?

I actually would, based on potential. I know Golson hasn't done near as much as Miller yet, but IMO Braxton is garbage as a passer.
Whattttttttt do you know Braxton Millers potential? He completed 63 his passes last year with double as many TD passes as Golson did. Golson hasn't really shown he can be a great passer with great accuracy.

I know he has awful accuracy and plays on a stacked team. And I'm high on Golson. Golson's accuracy will be much better than Braxton's this year, IMO.
I may be wrong, but I can't stand watching QBs who can't place a good ball, so I would sell, sell, sell all day on Braxton.
Hahaha Golson can't run it either. Ohio State offense and skill players are light years ahead of NDs.

If Golson played OSU's schedule, I think he'd be better than Braxton. No, he hasn't beaten the world yet, but I think he has significantly better accuracy and even decision making compared to Miller.
I won't say Golson will have a statistically better year than Miller, because Miller's schedule is a joke compared to ours, but I think Golson will subjectively be more impressive (not saying much, I know). At least it wouldn't surprise me.

What I was relating to (i left a word out apparently) is Zaire is light years ahead of them throwing the ball.
Miller couldnt throw a slant route to save his life this year, much less hit timing routes. Miller consistently missed guys that didnt have defenders within 5 yards of them.
On a Accuracy chart Golson would be at the top. Zaire would be in the above average catagory and Miller would be in the Below Average but not Poor catagory. Can Malik run it better than Miller and attack like Miller? No. But NDs offense isnt based on that. They do not need the QB to run for 100+ a game. ND needs a kid that can extend plays, and run read option to add that dimension to the offense.
Marshall has the same problems as Miller...They are both superior athletes playing QB. I would say his accuracy is better than Millers, but neither kid is going to sniff the NFL as a qb. Vision is a huge part of playing the position. AKA being able to see coverages and be able to place the ball in certain spots dictated by the coverage/scheme/alignments/techniques. I dont think many fans understand how many different techniques DBs can play, let alone show.
I know its two practices and Zaire hasnt stepped on the field to play a live game yet. But what he showed was the ability to consistently make the right play and see the right place to put the ball. Now does he place the ball consistently to that spot? No. But that comes with experience and growth. He doesnt have Golsons arm, nor has he played in a game, so that will come with time.
Zaire got 2 reps in redzone work on Saturday, and threw a slant to Amir between two guys that everyone around me turned their head. Then the next play he found Koyack in the back of the endzone. Its progression and about getting his talent comfortable within the college game.

I haven't read the entire argument, but my $.02 says I'd take our QB's over Miller any day........yes, Miller is talented, but mostly as a runner. He can throw the ball, but......and as my boss will admit to (he's a huge OSU fan), Miller isn't very intelligent, and is playing an overly admitted easy schedule. He'd much rather have Golson or Zaire running Urbans offense than Miller.

Crazy talk. I like Golson, but Miller is a game changing QB.
Throw that on top of Golson taking all of last year off, Zaire never taking a snap and Kizer not even practicing (you did say all of our QBs)
Hahaha I have never seen such Homerism in my life. Nick Marshall and Braxton Miller would be 3rd and 4th string for ND. and now Zaire is a better passer then Miller even though he has never thrown a college pass and ran the wish bone. I would take Braxton Miller everyday over Everett Golson

You seem hung up on production, not only here but in other threads. You realize that someone can be better and have higher expectations than someone who has produced more in the previous year(s). It's college football, not the NFL where you have 10 seasons to see how good someone is.
I mean, if Rees was granted another year, would he be automatically be better than Golson, because he had a better year last year?
Miller sucks at passing. Badly. If he played our schedule, it'd be obvious. He's Tim Tebow with more speed. I would definitely take Golson over Miller and never think twice about ut. I won't go as far as saying Malik > Miller, but it wouldn't surprise me.

Hell OSU's backup QB is arguably better than our starter.
*Disclaimer* I woud take Golson over Guitton every day of the week but GB is right about the homerism in this thread.
Braxton Miller had 24 TDS last year. 63% and over a thousand yards rushing. How the hell are you gonna take Golson when Miller has him beat in EVERY single category. Sure Miller has been playing for two years but his potential is through the roof. How the hell could you even think about taking Zaire over Miller? Based on what? No one has anything on Malik besides 2 minutes of highlight tapes on UND and a fucking HIGHLIGHT tape.
Miller sucks at passing yet leads one of the best offenses in the country and had 24 PASSING TDS last year with 63% last year which isn't bad at all. Hell higher then your boy Golson.
