Sure thing.

Martin 6'4'' 304 - Watt 6'3'' 310 - Cave 6'3'' 304 - Golic Jr. 6'3'' 300 - Lombard 6'5'' 300

Now our incoming recruiting class, as I project them according to position (LT-RT)

Elmer 6'6'' 305 - Montelus 6'5'' 295 - Bivin 6'7'' 290 - McGovern 6'7'' 290 - McGlinchey 6'9'' 285

Average height/weight of our line now is about 6'3''-6'4'' and about 300+ Ibs

Average height/weight of our incoming OL class is about 6'7'' and already about 290-295 Ibs.... without even being in a college weight room

Just awesome.

There is a difference in height between our current O--line and our commits this year but it isn't that big. The commit numbers are their inflated recruiting numbers, while I believe the numbers for our current 0-line are pretty accurate.

Just passed Elmer outside the dining hall. He was walking with Springmann and Elmer looked at least as big as Springmann, who is listed at 6'6", 300 lbs.

Wait, Elmer was walking with Springmann and Elmer? Does that mean he can play LT and RT at the same time? He Good. Welcome to the Show.

He missed a comma. He will learn that next year, and then it won't be a problem, anymore.

It isn't working for me either. I embeded all the EE interviews off of youtube, I don't know why they aren't working.

Alright I got my act together on the EE vids. They all should work now.

Let's not overlook how important this commitment was to IrishMob13. Elmer started it all and remained firm in his commitment all along. He was a key component in uniting the offensive line recruits in this cycle.

It all begins in the trenches and Steve Elmer deserves a lot of credit for the bonding that held this group together without wavering over the course of the past year. He is a potential future captain for the offense in the mold of Zach Martin.

I can't wait to see this group out there on a Saturday afternoon.

Wow, really? Was that done by position or by team or something? Hard to imagine he was top 5 in the country. No offense to Steve.

All I had was the screen shot from a phone so I apologize for misprepresenting. Looks like it was a top five of ND's incoming freshman - still great but my mistake.

Because of being an EE AND in a five-man OLine class which, frankly could use a little eligibility separation, AND coming into a very light veteran OLiner numbers situation, Big Steve could easily see playing time this year. There are any number of we-don't-want-to-think-about-that scenarios with the OLine [Hegarty, OLine moving chairs, how-good-is-Stanley, etc] that could raise Steven up to prime time status, and we have no reason as of the moment to think that he's not up to it. If Alabama can start a rookie at left tackle, who's to say that ND can't start one at right tackle?

When I heard that the big fella was EEing, I breathed a big sigh of relief. His presence, with the extra knowledge of what we do gained in the Spring, allows us some relative relaxation to begin August camp and the season. It REALLY would have been nice if Bivin was an EE too.

I came here and was shocked when I picked this thread to view, and saw a rational, well thought out post. That is becoming a rarer and rarer thing . . .

further clarification..........

The article is titled- Rising Freshman- early enrollees who can make an impact in spring practice.

1. Derrick Henry - Bama
2. Su'a Cravens- USC
3. JaQuay Williams- A&M
4. Eli Apple- Ohio St.
5. Steve Elmer- ND

The issue has Jadeveon Clowney on the cover- march madness issue.
