Jackson 40 is an official 4.51

Mayock mentioned that the average for CBs at last years combine was 4.49, so Jackson has got about average speed, which is something we all already knew

Bjax also jumped 38" in the vertical, and was a top performer in the broad jump with a 10'-8", which was tied for third among all DBs

I think our boys did us proud for once at the Combine.

Definitely. No one hurt their stock and Shembo and TJ helped theirs by proving they are better athletes at certain things than most people, including me, thought.

I think I saw on Bleacher Report (i know I know) that Nix may fall because he didn't show athleticism, which is something that everybody knew he was lacking elite quantities.

The only numbers needed with Nix was his weight, height, arm length and bench press. Passed on all of those except bench which he has yet to do. If they are looking at a NG/NT's 40 yard dash, etc you're looking at the wrong things. His tape speaks for itself. He may not be a 1st round pick since he's a 3-4 fit much more than 4-3 and NG/NT don't usually go high, but the #s are not hurting him.

All I have to say is bleacher report. I watched Nix on field workouts and Mayock, sapp and McGinnis all said he moved really well in short areas. That's all he needed to do.

Tuitt put up 31 reps on the bench Pretty sure that was our best and it was Top 6 for D-lineman I believe.

Bumping

Not sure if it's worth starting a 2015 version or just making this evergreen for all future combines.

Anyone else besides Koyack at this?

Brindza and Daniels

Thanks!

Hoping Brindza gets his NFL shot. Am I wrong thinking that's one of the hardest positions to get into NFL? Fewer spots and longevity of the best are my thoughts for that.

As for Daniels, his potential could really help a lot of teams, and he could be a steal late, just so many Q's around him.

As always, I hope these guys go to teams that are successful. Who wants to be a brown or something;)

Brindza is a punter and kickoff kicker, never saw the consistency to be a field goal kicker. That fact that he can do both at least somewhat competently will increase his chances of landing a spot IMO

Brindza had 14 reps on the bench. Believe he was the only kicker/punter to attempt it.

Never consistent?

He was pretty good prior to the holder problems in 2014.

I'm not sure about that. He has always lacked consistency.

He may not have had a crazy streak like Ruffer, but he wasn't awful prior to 2014. He was hitting 77% before then, and only 2-3 kickers in the country were attempting more kicks than him. He was on the Groza watch list in 2013 and holds a number of kicking records.

I went through all his kicks in 2013. He missed from 44, 37, 38, a 46 was blocked, and a missed 55 at Pittsburgh. He hit everything else, including multiple 50+ yard kicks. Obviously the 30 yarders are very make-able, not sure what happened on those as I don't have the video. The other misses are not what I would call inconsistent though, you certainly can't pin the block and the 55 yarder on him, those will happen even with the best kicker and are out of his hands. I'm not going to go through 2012, but if you're saying that he's not consistent then he's inconsistent and the numbers don't really show that.

The thing is in the NFL, 30-40 yard field goals should be almost automatic. There are NFL kickers that don't, but they're on the short list to get replaced. The fact that he can make any kick on the field doesn't make up for that fact. Don't get me wrong he's absolutely one of the better college kickers, and the fact that he is capable of doing both will give him an edge over other people vying for the job, but he's a punter IMO.

I don't even think he is a punter . The best shot he has is kickoff specialist.
