In contrast, Utah had 25 FBS signings out of a pool of 8,784 players - for a ratio of 1 out of 351. Cornell had better head south for some competition! On Friday Nights they turn the lights out in Minnesota, and slide flat stones across the ice!

Wow. Eight is not very many. I guess the best athletes play hockey? And no wonder the Gophers are doormats. It's funny, because we've had some pretty good ballplayers out of Minnesota over the years.

I don't think it's possible to gain 40 LBS in one year of good weight. Although I'm sure Longo disagrees.

Not Nix, but Tuitt and all of the chubby LBs and slow safeties. It's more tongue in cheek and a poor attempt at one more 'funniest poster' nominee, but if I'm honestly answering, I'm not even close to sold on Longo.

I think that Ishaq plays around 260ish. 285 is a DE not an OLB.

Interesting point. This is where we can gage the value of BVG. Adequate as a DC or more?

What makes Harry Hiestand so incredibly valuable to the program is his ability to develop players, coach them up and get herculean efforts out of them. I watched ZM. He was special before HH came. Now he is downright awesome.

So, when U of M comes to town, will BVG expose the quarterback? This is a perfect thing for the world to watch, because the will be the same two quarterbacks from last year, and one would expect them to be better. How will the defense shred their line? How will the defense disrupt their receivers? Stop their ball carriers? And harass their quarterbacks? This is the perfect stage to see the results a year and a new DC can make.

If ND's defense owns U of M, the recruits will see, and they will want to play for BVG, just like the offensive linemen want to play for HH!

If we lose to UM this year, I'm seriously considering not going to a game during a season we have really high hopes. I'm 0/3 at ND games.
