?? TP been here 3 years.
I nominate that brent(??) dude. The guy who started the question about a girl thread.
He has the potential to totally dominate trinity one day...if he puts in the work.
What are we going to do next year when Ben Koyack actually lives up to his potential?
Can we rename this award "The Ishaq Williams?"
Same problem ...
The Andrew Hendrix then?
Maybe the Alex Welch?
I think there should be a "Heggie" award too.
Lets just call it the Sam Young award

I'm liking "The Heggie." According to the South Bend Tribune on the first page of his recruitment, Bruce could be the ultimate sleeper.
The heggie does have a bit of a ring to it
I concur. Immortalized potential unrealized.
If really wanting to rename this, it should be the Duval Kamara award. After his freshman year, some people thought he was going to be just as good as Samardzja. He just never could live up to the hype after the best freshman season ever for a receiver at the time.
Does Ben Koyack have potential? or some variation of that is a long-standing joke on IE. That' why this is the title even though he has actually achieved some success.
I think people expected that Koyack was never going to see the field as a starter at the rate he was going. He was highly recruited, top 10 at TE I think, but until the 2013 season he just never seemed to make much of an impact. When he did see the field he failed to make the most of it and was characterized with dropped passes and poor blocking. As a result Eifert, Niklas, and even Welch at times seemed to be ahead of him. As a result of his failure to live up to his recruitment analysis, he became a long standing IE meme/catchphrase regarding "potential."
In all seriousness though, with Niklas gone I think he'll make the most of this chance. He showed great signs of improvement over the year. Smythe breathing down his neck will give him extra motivation as well.
Heggie's story is already written in the history books and cannot be altered at this point. A legend to live for the ages.
