I don't know how it will effect Cali guys, but just from the short time he's been here, I think BVG will have us in the running for some of the better kids.

Our odds of landing this kid have got to be in the low single digits. Try to get him up for a visit? Of course. Stay in touch? Why not. But I seriously hope that Elston and the rest of the staff are not making this kid Plan 1A, or counting on him in any way, shape or form.

Elston and him were communicating via twitter on NSD. Elston letting him know how important he is and that he needs to visit. Hopefully for an unofficial this summer but with flights being expensive it might have to wait for an official. Family was very excited about the offer. Knowing he has the opportunity to play in South Bend is a big deal. Contrary to popular belief he isn't a USC lock like many have stated. However, he goes on to talk about his very good relationship with Sark and how they grew up in the same area. He has no leader and no top 5, is taking the process slowly. Will unofficially visit Oregon for its Junior Day.

Given our piss poor track record with kids from Daniel's geographic region, the unethical recruiting practices of Sark, Mora and Meyer, and the fact that he's bound to be a very hot commodity, I think our chances of landing this kid are terrible. So unless he visits and ND immediately shoots to the top of his list, I don't think we should invest many resources in recruiting him. Way too risky.

I totally agree. We have had horrible success in Fresno, so unless he visits and loves it I would say he is a long shot at very best.
